This study presents a magneto‐mechanical strategy that incorporates FP@MSCs into an aligned PCL/GelMA nerve guidance conduit. Magnetic stimulation increases membrane tension in FP@MSCs, triggering cytoskeletal remodeling, Schwann cell‐like differentiation, and TIMP1 secretion. TIMP1 activates ITGB1/CD63–FAK signaling in NE‐4C cells, increasing membrane

Anatomy of Deja Vu in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
Sixteen patients, ages 16 to 32 years, implanted with depth electrodes at Hopital Saint-Anne, Paris, France, had experienced a dreamy state (deja-vu - deja vecu, memories of complete scenes, or vague reminiscence) during sterotactic EEG (SEEG).

An investigation into the effect of fabrication parameter variation on the characteristics of screen printed thick film silver/silver chloride reference electrodes [PDF]
Purpose – the purpose of this paper is to show how the fabrication parameters of screen-printed thick-film reference electrodes have been experimentally varied and their effect on device characteristics investigated.Design/methodology/approach – the ...

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Ion-implanted compliant electrodes for mm-size dielectric elastomer actuators [PDF]
The miniaturization of dielectric elastomer actuators requires compliant electrodes that are clean, reliable, and that can be easily patterned on a mm or μm scale.

Fabrication, Characterization, and Functionalization of Dual Carbon Electrodes as Probes for Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy (SECM) [PDF]
Dual carbon electrodes (DCEs) are quickly, easily, and cheaply fabricated by depositing pyrolytic carbon into a quartz theta nanopipet. The size of DCEs can be controlled by adjusting the pulling parameters used to make the nanopipet.

A porous parylene‐coated electrode loaded with dexamethasone was developed to reduce inflammation after cochlear implantation. In guinea pigs, the device provided sustained drug release, maintained biocompatibility, improved auditory brainstem response thresholds, and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration and TNF‐α expression.

In this study, we fabricate photovoltaic retinal implants with pyrolytic carbon electrodes and test their ability to stimulate mouse and pig retinas when illuminated with near‐infrared light. We find increased spiking activity in both animal models compared to spontaneous activity and TTX controls and analyze the spike amplitude, latency and frequency.
