Identification of preterm birth based on RQA analysis of electrohysterograms [PDF]
Common methods for data analysis are mainly based on linear concepts, but in recent years nonlinear dynamics methods have been introduced. It is a well-known fact that In typical biological systems lack of stationarity and rather sudden changes of state are the properties distinguishing them from each other. There is an urgent need to better understand

Wave forms of the electrohysterogram in pregnancy and labor
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1958Abstract The existence of the repetitive uterine electrical wave form as previously described is confirmed in this report. Simultaneous multichannel recording shows that the appearance of the wave varies depending on the location of the electrodes. Repetitive, symmetrical wave forms can be understood only as correlates of propagated events, arising in

Physical Bases of the Electrohysterogram
Nature, 1958INTERPRETATION of the electrical activity associated with the uterine contractions of labour has been beset with many difficulties. For the most part, the studies have concentrated on certain fast components1, and did not readily lend themselves to physiological interpretation.

A Novel DAQ Card-Based Electrohysterogram Simulator for Obstetric Studies
International Conference on Compute and Data AnalysisA simulator is a device used to generate electrical signals that mimics the original biopotentials produced by the human body. It is used in manufacturing, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance of different biopotential monitoring devices ...

Electrohysterogram: Study of the electromechanical activity of the uterus in humans
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, 1997The electromechanical activity of the uterus was studied in 18 healthy women (mean age 38.3+/-14.2 SD years; 8 were nulliparous, 10 multiparous) aiming at characterizing a normal electrohysterogram. Two monopolar silver-silver chloride electrodes were applied to the uterine and one to the cervical mucosa.
