Background: The introduction of electrohysterography into clinical practice provides new opportunities to study the impact of labour epidural analgesia on uterine contractility because electrohysterography has a greater sensitivity in detecting uterine ...

Prediction of labor onset type: Spontaneous vs induced; role of electrohysterography? [PDF]
[EN] Background and objective: Induction of labor (IOL) is a medical procedure used to initiate uterine contractions in order to achieve delivery. IOL entails medical risks and has a significant impact on both maternal and neonatal well-being.

A randomized controlled trial reducing cesarean delivery rates in China by introducing trial of labor after cesarean and electrohysterography [PDF]
Objective: A cesarean delivery (CD) can affect health of both mother and child and future pregnancies. Since the abandonment of the one-child policy in China, obstetricians tend to perform a repeat CD rather than a trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC ...

Unsupervised Classification of Uterine Contractions Recorded Using Electrohysterography [PDF]
Pregnancy still poses health risks that are not attended to by current clinical practice motorization procedures. Electrohysterography (EHG) record signals are analyzed in the course of this thesis as a contribution and effort to evaluate their ...

The prognostic value of electrohysterography in prediction of premature labour
Premature birth is the leading cause of a neonatal death, so, it is extremely important to distinguish the pregnancy at risk of preterm threatening labour.

Heart Artifact Removal in Electrohysterography Measurements Using Algebraic Differentiators
Electrohysterography (EHG) enables non-invasive monitoring of uterine contractions but can be contaminated by electrocardiogram (ECG) artifacts. This work presents an ECG removal method using algebraic differentiators, a control-theoretic tool for model-free derivative estimation, that preserves signal shape outside the detected cardiac pulse locations.
