Synthesis and Electroluminescence of Thieno-[3,4-b]pyrazine-cored Molecule with Fluorinated Shell

open access: yes, 2013
A thieno-[3,4-b]-pyrazine-based molecule, F-DTP, was designed and synthesized for application as a red emitter in non-doped organic light-emitting diodes. F-DTP was designed with thieno-[3,4-b]-pyrazine as the luminescent core and pentaphenylphenylene (i.

Graphene oxide/exfoliated black phosphorus van der Waals heterojunctions for PEDOT:PSS‐free‐based organic light‐emitting diodes achieving excellent electroluminescence performance

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
A novel two‐dimensional heterojunction assembled from graphene oxide and exfoliated black phosphorus via van der Waals interactions is proposed to replace widely used poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene)‐polystyrene sulfonate for efficient hole injection layer in organic light‐emitting diodes, achieving impressive electroluminescence performance.

Color-tunable photoluminescence and NIR electroluminescence in carbon nitride thin films and light-emitting diodes

open access: yes, 2015
Color-tunable photoluminescence from continuous graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) thin films is demonstrated. The films are employed in light-emitting diodes. A strong redshift of the electroluminescence with respect to photoluminescence is observed and

Forward bias voltage controlled infrared photodetection and electroluminescence from a p-i-n quantum dot structure

open access: yes, 2011
We report a specially designed p-i-n quantum dot (QD) device in which both the intersubband and the interband transitions of the QD are controlled by the applied forward bias voltage.

A simulation toolkit for electroluminescence assessment in rare event experiments

open access: yes, 2011
A good understanding of electroluminescence is a prerequisite when optimising double-phase noble gas detectors for Dark Matter searches and high-pressure xenon TPCs for neutrinoless double beta decay detection.

Carbonyl lock enables multi‐resonant organoboron framework with substantially enhanced spin‐flip and reduced emission bandwidth

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Integrating carbonyl lock onto multi‐resonant organoboron emitters is found to go beyond conventional bridge unit. It can not only suppress the molecular relaxation as conventional bridge, but also substantially affect electronic engineering via carbonyl integration, activating multiple up‐conversion channels, thus leading to an accelerated spin‐flip ...

Highly efficient blue crystalline organic light‐emitting diodes enabled by a hot exciton sensitizer PyPO

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Two different sensitization structures (hot exciton sensitizer type and exciton nanoaggregate type) were integrated into crystalline host matrix. The resulting crystalline organic light‐emitting diodes exhibit low Joule heat loss ratio and high photon output.
