Colloidal quantum dot active layer electroluminescence in a solid GaN matrix

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper the preliminary results of incorporating a novel active layer into a GaN light emitting diode (LED) are discussed. Integration of colloidal CdSe quantum dots into a GaN LED active layer is demonstrated.

Failure diagnosis on photovoltaic modules using thermography, electroluminescence, Rgb and I-V techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Different techniques can be used to detect and quantify PV modules anomalies, as visual inspections, electrical tests like the I-V curve test, infrared thermography (IRT) or electroluminescence (EL). PV plants operators usually apply only one or two of

Naphthyridine‐Based Donor–Acceptor Boron Difluoride Complexes Targeting Red Emission in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Four donor–acceptor boron difluoride complexes based on triphenylamine donor and a naphthyridine acceptor units were synthesized, studied, and applied as OLED emitters. They exhibit pronounced intramolecular charge transfer character, balanced charge transport properties, and tunable emission. Near‐unity PLQYs are achieved for selected compounds, while

Blue‐Emitting ZnSe(Te) Quantum Dots and Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Zn‐based quantum dots (QDs) have been regarded as the most promising Cd‐free candidates for blue‐emitting applications. ZnSe QDs exhibit an ultra‐narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM), high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), and excellent environmental stability, making them ideal for blue‐violet emitters.

Fluorescence Tuning of Carbon Dots from Red to Blue via UV‐Induced Photochemical Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A UV‐driven photochemical process enables continuous color evolution of carbon dots from red to blue using a single irradiation parameter. Progressive photoetching restructures graphitic domains and surface states, allowing full visible‐spectrum emission control.

Colloidal synthesis and electroluminescence properties of nanoporous (MnZnS)-Zn-II films

open access: yes, 1999
An organometallic colloidal route was employed to prepare orange fluorescing Mn2+ functionalized ZnS and CdS particles, For this purpose, tributylphosphine-capped manganese oxide clusters were first synthesized, which served as heterogeneous nucleation ...

Mixed‐Polymer Hole Transport Layers Reinforce Au‐Anode Top Emitting Perovskite Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Au‐anode corrosion is shown to occur rapidly under voltage bias in MAPbI3 perovskite LEDs. Resulting Au+ migration quickly leads to device shorting and unstable emission during constant current driving. We demonstrate that using a simple mixed‐polymer hole transport layer containing polyTPD and PVK can reduce Au‐corrosion and stabilize LED operation ...

All‐Solution‐Processed Perovskite Light‐Emitting Transistors Enabled by a Fully Organic Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Fully solution‐processed light‐emitting transistors based on CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals (Pe‐LETs) are demonstrated using an all‐organic platform. By optimizing film formation and device integration, the Pe‐LETs achieve bright green emission with excellent color purity and a peak external quantum efficiency of 4.17 × 10−3 %, marking a step forward ...

Correlation Between Electroluminescence and Partial Discharges in Silicone Rubber Used for High Voltage AC Subsea Connectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Processing of oil and gas has been performed on topside installations close to the wells. In the future, wells will be further away from the infrastructure and more processing will be performed on the seabed.

Growth optimisation and laser processing of thin film phosphors for electroluminescent displays

open access: yes, 2010
This thesis presents results of a study of ZnS:Mn thin film phosphors used in Thin Film ELectroluminescent (TFEL) and Laterally Emitting TFEL (LETFEL) devices, examining techniques for phosphor growth optimisation and post deposition processing in order ...
