Recovery of copper powder from copper bleed electrolyte of an Indian copper smelter by electrolysis
Minerals Engineering, 2007Copper bleed solution generated from an Indian Copper smelter contains high amount of copper and nickel along with several impurities. Attempts have been made to develop a new process for the production of pure copper powder from such streams.

Process and Properties of Ultrafine Silver-Coated Electrolytic Copper Powders
Materials Science Forum, 2017The ultrafine electrolytic copper powders were coated by silver using a combination of displacement reaction and reduction method, and the bimetallic core-shell powders with a 10wt.% addition of silver were obtained. The effects of concentration of complexing-dispersing agent and reducing agent on the silver coating layer were studied.

Factors Influencing Quality of Electrolytic Copper Powder
Powder Metallurgy, 1991AbstractThe quality of electrolytically produced copper powder is influenced in the course of electrolysis by a number of factors. The most important of these include time of powder growth, current density, electrolyte concentration, concentration of sulphuric acid, temperature and circulation of the electrolyte, and the presence of foreign ions.

An electron microscope investigation of electrolytic copper powders
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1981The size and nature of copper powders deposited in conditions close to those found in production units are investigated with a scanning electron microscope. It is shown that an increase in the current density or the concentration of sulphuric acid decreases the size of the particles and makes their dendritic structure more pronounced.

The possibility of the electroprecipitation of copper powder via the cathodic reduction of an electrolyte solution containing copper(II) nitrate trihydrate and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is shown. The effect electrolysis conditions (current density, concentration and temperature of electrolyte) have on the dimensional characteristics of copper powder is

A microscopic investigation of electrolytic copper powders deposited by reversing currents
Hydrometallurgy, 1994Abstract The copper powders electrodeposited by reversing current were investigated using a scanning electron microscope. The effects of the current amplitude, cathodic to anodic time ratio and period of the current wave are discussed. It is shown that the parameters determining the reversing current wave determine the micromorphology of the copper ...

Effect of electrolyte characteristics on electrowinning of copper powder
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 2009This paper is concerned with studying the effect of electrolyte characteristics on the production process of electrolytic copper powder from partially depleted Cu containing synthetic electrolytes by electrowinning technique. The main electrolyte characteristics are temperature, circulation rate, Cu and H2SO4 concentrations, residence time in the cell,

Production of electrolytic copper powders on rod electrodes with separating layers
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 1987Finely divided copper deposits were obtained from a sulfate electrolyte containing 30 CuSO~ and 140 g/liter H2SO4. The cathodic current density i c per unit area of the starting smooth electrode surface was 2200 A/m 2. Electrolysis was performed at a temperature of 50 I~ and an electrolyte circulation rate of 70 ml/min.
