Parameter Weight Analysis of Synchronous Induction Electromagnetic Coil Launch System Based on the Entropy Weight Method

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science
The trigger position, the number of coil turns, capacitance, discharge voltage, the ratio of length to thickness of the driving coil, and the ratio of length to thickness of the projectile are the key system parameters that affect the projectile exit ...

Electromagnetic force calculations for a conical coil

Metallurgical Transactions B, 1993
Levitation melting devices used in the laboratory typically employ small conical coils with a reverse wound turn at the top. The magnetic field and the Lorentz forces on an electrically conducting sample, due to an alternating current flowing in a small conical coil, are studied by modeling it as a conical helix.

Utilization of a helmholtz coil in the electromagnetic method

Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, 1983
The purpose of this paper is to develop a pulse electromagnet that is convenient for utilization under laboratory conditions and that will produce a homogenous magnetic field. Two kinds of Helmholtz coils--one with a twenty centimeter diameter fabricated from a sprint-slab, and one with a steel transferable coil--are used in this paper.

Analysis and Design of Coil-Based Electromagnetic-Induced Thermoacoustic for Rail Internal-Flaw Inspection

IEEE transactions on intelligent transportation systems (Print), 2019
A novel coil-based electromagnetic-induced thermo-acoustic system is presented for detecting the flaws inside a rail. The fundamental is derived and the overall energy density distribution is simulated using finite element method.

Implementation of optimized electromagnetic induction coils

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
Electromagnetic induction (EMI) systems often employ separate transmit and receive coils that are placed in close proximity to one another. This placement is desirable for packaging reasons, but it makes achieving minimal mutual coupling between the two coils difficult.

The equivalence of electromagnetic coils for electron optics

Journal of Applied Physics, 1981
The theoretical basis is discussed, and a stable, accurate, and efficient numerical procedure given for calculating the winding distribution that is needed on a designated target yoke so that the magnetic field it produces in a specified region of space is identical with that generated by a given primary yoke.

Optimized coils for electromagnetic induction systems

SPIE Proceedings, 2013
Electromagnetic induction (EMI) systems often use separate transmit and receive coils. In these systems, it is desirable for the transmit and receive coils to have minimal mutual coupling and a maximum eld product, thus maximizing the detection depth. We demonstrate that a pair of spiral coils can be optimized to achieve these desired properties.

Electromagnetic analysis of coils for wireless power transfer

2017 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2017
The accurate modelling of a system a coupled coils is of paramount importance in the design of wireless power system. In particular, the resistances of the coils and their mutual inductance coefficient determined the efficiency of the device. In this contribution the authors compare the parameters of a two coils system obtained by two numerical codes ...

Electromagnetic Force Control System of Solenoidal Coil [PDF]

open access: possible2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2018
This paper focuses on studies of electromagnetic force control system of solenoid coil electromagnetic field. The mathematical relationship of electromagnetic force with power supply current of solenoid electromagnetic coil is derived. The control system of electromagnetic force is constructed, which includes an adjustable PWM power supply and a ...

Fabrication of Excitation Coils for Electromagnetic Microactuators

2011
A key component for electromagnetic micro devices is the coil. Exposing it to an electric current results in exciting a magnetic field. The three coils most commonly used in microactuators are the meander, the planar spiral, and the helical type. For fabricating these coils in thin-film technology a combination of photolithography (for creating a ...
