Optimisation of the Magnetic Screening of Electromagnetic Coils
1983A frequent problem with systems incorporating coil windings or permanent magnets is the need to reduce the stray magnetic field. This may be necessary to ensure the operation of nearby instruments sensitive to magnetic field. The usual solution is to shield the system using a shell of ferromagnetic material.

Quench Detection Method for HTS Coils Using Electromagnetically Coupled Coils
IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2015Generally, in order to detect the quench of the superconducting field coil for the superconducting rotating machine, signal wires for voltage taps are indispensably needed. However, the problem of the conventional method is wire twisting as the superconducting field coil rotates.

Parameter settings of the projectile of the coil electromagnetic launcher
2012 16th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Launch Technology, 2012The launching processes of the coil electromagnetic launcher (EML) were simulated by Ansoft Maxwell. The influences of the material and shape of projectile, and other factors (e.g. the relative position of the projectile and drive coil) on the launching performance were analyzed.

Optimal Coil Currents in Electromagnetic Flow Tomography
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2017Electromagnetic flow meters are a gold standard in measuring the mean flow velocity of conductive liquids and slurries in process industry. A drawback of this approach is that the velocity field cannot be determined. Velocity field information is important for characterizing multiphase flows in the process industry.

Research on the Scaling Model of Electromagnetic Coil Launcher
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2013A model experiment is an effective method to investigate the working characteristics of electromagnetic coil launcher (EMCL). Results from the model experiment are applied to the prototype study of EMCL, after the scaling relations of physical quantities between model and prototype are determined.

The 900 kN electromagnetic press with superconducting coils
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1996Load-generating facilities based on the interaction of electromagnetic coils are, as a rule, compact and easily controllable. These are, for example, the electromagnetic presses intended for mechanical tests of various materials. A press with superconducting coils allows such testing at cryogenic temperatures.

Design formulas for electromagnetic sensing coils
Geoexploration, 1967Abstract It is demonstrated that for a certain class of electromagnetic sensing coils the geometry and weight of the device are essentially determined by the signal-to-noise ratio desired. The number of turns and the wire gauge are principally related to the required source impedance.

Continuous electromagnetic launcher using soleniod coil
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987This paper describes the characteristics of the continuous electromagnetic launcher as a linear electromagnetic actuator capable of allowing a magnetic substance like a steel ball to move at high speed. The launcher employs magnetic field generated within a solenoid to produce large, instantaneous thrust. This paper discusses the characteristics of the
