Fiber‐reinforced Liquid Metal Composites With Automated Circuit Fabrication for Structurally‐Integrated Power Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fiber‐reinforced liquid metal composites (FibRe LMCs) are introduced that combine GPa‐scale structural performance with digitally programmable electrical conductivity. Through automated CNC activation, conductive pathways and wireless power transfer circuits are fabricated directly within load‐bearing composites, enabling structurally integrated ...

A Method for Optimising Superdirectivity of Coupled Meta-Atoms via Planar Directivity Evaluation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
We propose a simple and rapid way of optimising directivity in metamaterial-inspired endfire antenna arrays with strong inter-element coupling. We introduce, in addition to the traditional 3D directivity, also its planar equivalents defined as the ratio ...

Reconfigurable Au Nanoparticle Monolayers on Regenerated Cellulose Hydrogels: Highly Sensitive SERS Detection of Polystyrene Micro/Nanoplastics With Interpretable Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A regenerated cellulose (RC) hydrogel‐based SERS substrate integrating a Marangoni‐transferred gold nanoparticle self‐assembled monolayer (Au‐SAM) is fabricated. Reswelling‐induced hotspot formation enhances polystyrene micro/nanoplastics (PS MNPs) detection in complex matrices, providing reproducible, high‐throughput SERS signals across diverse ...

Electromagnetically coupled WLAN/WiMax antenna

open access: yesIEICE Electronics Express, 2010
A novel microstrip-fed parasitic-coupled monopole antenna is presented for WLAN/WiMAX applications. The proposed antenna is in compact size, provides good impedance-matching bandwidth and possesses nearly dipole-like radiation patterns, covering WLAN (2.4-2.5GHz and 4.9-5.85GHz) and WiMAX (2.3-2.7GHz and 3.5-3.8GHz) bands.

Spin Dynamics in the van der Waals Ferromagnet CrTe2 Engineered by Niobium Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spin‐dynamic magnetic properties of van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnet 1T‐CrTe2 are tuned via niobium (Nb) as Cr1‐xNbxTe2 (x = 0–0.2). Nb doping enables wide‐band tuning of the resonance frequency from 40 GHz down to the few‐GHz regime, accompanied by a moderate increase in the Gilbert damping from ∼0.066 to ∼0.14.
