Causal explanation for observed superluminal behavior of microwave propagation in free space

open access: yes, 2001
In this paper we present a theoretical analysis of an experiment by Mugnai and collaborators where superluminal behavior was observed in the propagation of microwaves.

Low‐Loss Far‐Infrared Surface Phonon Polaritons in Suspended SrTiO3 Nanomembranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The low‐loss, highly confined, and thickness‐tunable surface phonon polaritons are demonstrated in the far‐infrared regime within transferable freestanding SrTiO3 membranes, achieving high figures of merit comparable to the previous record values from the vdW materials.

CONTROLLABILITY OF NON-CONTACT MAGNETIC PULSE STRAIGHTENING

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2013
Experimental research on dosing and controllability of non-contact magnetic pulse straightening is presented in the article. Illustrations of dosed magnetic-pulse action are given by the example of an element of a Subaru body panel.

Numerical Modeling of High-Speed Free Bulging of Thin-Wall Aluminum Tubes under the Action of Impulse Electromagnetic Forces [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2015
The paper proposes an approach in numerical modeling of electromagnetic forming of aluminum tubes. The investigated technology refers to a free expansion/bulging, without a die, of a thin wall aluminum tube. The aim is to build an accurate model that can

Engineering Strategies for 2D Layered Tin Halide Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D halide perovskites are promising candidates for field‐effect transistor (FET) applications due to their high stability and suppressed ion migration in the presence of bulky organic spacers. This review systematically summarizes the optimization engineering strategies of 2D perovskite FETs and future challenges, which provide guidance for developing ...

SHEET ELECTROMAGNETIC FORMING USING CONVEX PUNCH INSTEAD OF CONVAVE DIE

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, 2016
High speed and absence of a precise control over pressure distribution confine sheet Electromagnetic Forming into a die to simple shapes having shallow depth. It is possible to reach a higher depth by using a convex punch instead of a concave die.

Vanadium Doped Magnetic MoS2 Monolayers of Improved Electrical Conductivity as Spin‐Orbit Torque Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrically conductive and room temperature magnetic atomically thin (≈0.8 nm) vanadium doped MoS2 (V‐MoS2) is demonstrated for its spintronic applications. Here, the spin transport at the interface of permalloy (Py) and high spin‐orbit coupling V‐MoS2 magnetic monolayers is shown.
