Resonance enhancement of neutrino oscillations due to transition magnetic moments

open access: yes, 2020
Studying neutrino propagation in static background of dense matter and electromagnetic field [1] we obtained that the resonance enhancement of neutrino oscillations due to transition magnetic moments is possible.

Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Direct electromagnetic force control of linear induction motor with end effects using fuzzy controller [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
In this article is a present dynamic model of a linen induction motor with end effects, occurs when the electromagnetic system of the motor is open. Instead of the angular speed and electromagnetic torque as a rotation motor, in the linear induction ...

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Optical activity induced by curvature in a gravitational pp-wave background [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We study optical activity induced by curvature. The optical activity model we present has two phenomenological gyration parameters, within which we analyze three model cases, namely, an exactly integrable model, the Landau-Lifshitz model and the Fedorov ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Emergent Electromagnetic Induction and Adiabatic Charge Pumping in Weyl Semimetals

open access: yes, 2016
The photovoltaic effect in a Weyl semimetal due to the adiabatic quantum phase is studied. We particularly focus on the case in which an external ac electric field is applied to the semimetal.

Nanoscale Mapping of Plasmonic Charge Transport in Nano‐Resonators Based on Resistive Switching Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this strategy, a conductive nano‐probe is employed to induce nanoscale phase transitions and map the nanoscale conductivity and trap density of GST films. By utilizing the contrasting properties of phase‐change states, nano‐resonators are fabricated that exhibit plasmonic conduction and dramatically different transport characteristics.

Circular‐Polarization‐Sensitive Organic Photodetectors with a Chiral Nanopatterned Electrode Inverse‐Designed by Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A chiral photodetector capable of selectively distinguishing left‐ and right‐handed circularly polarized light is experimentally demonstrated. The device, which features a nanopatterned electrode inverse‐designed by a genetic algorithm within a metal–dielectric–metal nanocavity that incorporates a vacuum‐deposited small‐molecule multilayer, exhibits ...
