Recent Advances in Ferrite‐Based Materials for Biomedical Applications: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ferrite nanoplatforms are presented as tunable biomedical materials in which synthesis control, cation engineering, defect/morphology regulation, and surface functionalization govern structure–property–bioactivity relationships. These design strategies enable multifunctional applications including MRI contrast, magnetic hyperthermia, targeted drug ...

Application of impulse radar to continuous profiling of tephra-bearing lake sediments and peats: an initial evaluation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Subsurface interface radar SIR, or impulse radar, uses electromagnetic pulses for continuous stratigraphic profiling. It has been applied to lake sediments (dy-gyttja) and peat deposits containing a sequence of thin, late Quaternary, ash-grade tephras at

Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.

LEAKING OUT OF INFORMATION DUE TO ELECTROMAGNETIC INFILTRATION AND ITS FAVOURABLE CIRCUMSTANCES

open access: yesPROBLEMY TECHNIKI UZBROJENIA
Electronic devices belong to an indispensable component of present civilisation. They have been processing a wide spectrum of information (from entertainment, through medical and military data to important state matters). Each such operating device generates electromagnetic field which often is an unwanted side effect.

Infiltration/cure modeling of resin transfer molded composite materials using advanced fiber architectures [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A model was developed which can be used to simulate infiltration and cure of textile composites by resin transfer molding. Fabric preforms were resin infiltrated and cured using model generated optimized one-step infiltration/cure protocols.

A novel method to assess the infiltration and filtration functions of urban soils

open access: yesVadose Zone Journal
Urban areas are increasingly under pressure due to rapid expansion and extreme rainfall events driven by climate change. Rather than relying solely on pipes to regulate stormwater, new management systems promote direct infiltration of water and ...

Ti3C2Tx MXene/Silver Composite Foams For Lightweight, High‐Performance Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Joule Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ultrathin MXene/EMF composite foams achieve a specific shielding efficiency of 749.6 dB.dB·cm3$\mathrm{dB}\cdot {\mathrm{cm}}^{3}$/g, while the silver‐enhanced MXene/Ag/EMF reaches 81.4 dB shielding effectiveness at just 1.0 mm thickness. Both composites exhibit rapid Joule heating, retain stability up to 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$, and withstand 1000 ...
