Electromagnetic Interference in the Primary Electromagnetic Laboratory

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review, 2008
This paper describes the measurements of the electromagnetic fields performed in the Primary Electromagnetic Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Because of the many instruments present in the laboratory and the vulnerability to the ambient electromagnetic fields, it was interesting to investigate if the level of exposure ...

Strong-field spatial interference in a tailored electromagnetic bath [PDF]

open access: greenPhys. Rev. Lett. 98, 043602 (2007), 2006
Light scattered by a regular structure of atoms can exhibit interference signatures, similar to the classical double-slit. These first-order interferences, however, vanish for strong light intensities, restricting potential applications. Here, we show how to overcome these limitations to quantum interference in strong fields.

Quantum interference of electromagnetic fields from remote quantum memories [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review Letters 98, 113602 (2007), 2006
We observe quantum, Hong-Ou-Mandel, interference of fields produced by two remote atomic memories. High-visibility interference is obtained by utilizing the finite atomic memory time in four-photon delayed coincidence measurements. Interference of fields from remote atomic memories is a crucial element in protocols for scalable generation of multi-node
