Nanostructured composite materials for electromagnetic interference shielding applications
Acta Astronautica, 2011Abstract Microwave shielding and absorbing structures are proposed using composite materials consisting in epoxy-resin and carbon nanopowders fillers up to 10% weight concentration. Characterization in terms of dielectric parameters is performed and discussed and such data are used to optimize the modeling of multilayer electromagnetic absorber by ...

Mats and Fabrics for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding
Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance, 2006Fabrics (with continuous electrically conductive fibers) are more effective than mats (with discontinuous conductive fibers) for electromagnetic interference shielding. Conductive fibers in the form of metal-coated polymer fibers or metal-coated carbon fibers are more effective than those in the form of bare carbon fibers.
