ON ELECTROMAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF

International Journal of Materials Engineering and Technology
The electronic band structure of was studied based on the density functional theory within LDA and fully relativistic schemes. The Lu 4f states are completely filled and have flat bands around -5.0 eV . The fully relativistic band structure scheme shows that spinorbit coupling splits the 4 f states into two manifolds, the and the multiplets.

The Electromagnetic Properties of Dirac Particles

Physical Review, 1952
A framework for describing those electromagnetic properties of Dirac (spin-\textonehalf{}) particles which determine their behavior when moving with low momentum through weak, slowly varying, external electromagnetic fields is developed by finding the most general interaction terms which may be added to the Dirac equation for the particle subject to ...

Thermal and Electromagnetic Properties

1990
The heat capacity of a metal is made up of the electronic and lattice contributions: c = c el + c 1at. In usual superconductors, the superconducting transition has practically no effect on the lattice. As is known from the theory of normal metals, at low temperatures the dependence of the lattice heat capacity on temperature is given by c lat ~ T 3 ...
