Strong Lead‐Free Bioinspired Piezoceramics for Durable Energy Transducers
We fabricated brick‐and‐mortar lead‐free piezoceramics with Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 monocrystal platelets as bricks and amorphous silica as mortar. The alignment of the bricks and the presence of the amorphous silica led to anisotropic residual stresses. These residual stresses increase the samples toughness, strength and durability while the brick alignment ...

Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules that are sensitive to viscosity and temperature variations in the environment. They exhibit a direct correlation between fluorescence and viscosity within Newtonian fluids. However, this correlation becomes less straightforward in complex systems.

Electromagnetic Properties of Unstable Particles [PDF]
Charge and current distributions are defined for unstable particles in no-recoil theories. They are in general complex, and oscillate with amplitudes increasing exponentially at large distances. Moments can be defined nevertheless. As with stable particles, electric dipole moments are necessarily zero if time reversibility holds.
