A mechanical mode-stirred reverberation chamber with chaotic geometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
A previous research on multivariate approach to the calculation of reverberation chamber correlation matrices is used to calculate the number of independent positions in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber. Anomalies and counterintuitive behavior are observed in terms of number of correlated matrix elements with respect to increasing frequency.

Measurement Method for Evaluating the Probability Distribution of the Quality Factor of Mode-Stirred Reverberation Chambers

open access: yes, 2014
An original experimental method for determining the empirical probability distribution function (PDF) of the quality factor (Q) of a mode-stirred reverberation chamber is presented.

Design of Chaotic Cavities with Curved Wave Diffractors for Enhanced Low-Frequency Operation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Some numerical calculations are presented on the dependence of the average mode count and average mode density of electromagnetic cavities on their specific geometric design, based on the generalized Weyl law. The analysis focuses on a chaotic quasi-cubic cavity furnished with curved wave diffractors placed on its interior surface.

K-factor Evaluation in a Hybrid Reverberation Chamber plus CATR OTA Testing Setup [PDF]

open access: yesA. A. Ruiz, S. Hosseinzadegan, J. Kvarnstrand, K. Arvidsson and A. A. Glazunov, "K-Factor Evaluation in a Hybrid Reverberation Chamber Plus CATR OTA Testing Setup," 2024 18th EuCAP, Glasgow, United Kingdom, 2024, pp. 1-5
This paper investigates achieving diverse K-factors using a Reverberation Chamber (RC) with a Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) system. It explores six hybrid "RC plus CATR" configurations involving different excitations of the Rich Isotropic Multipath (RIMP) field and CATR-generated plane waves, with some setups including absorbers.

Total Radiated Power Measurements of a mmWave Phased Array in a Reverberation Chamber [PDF]

open access: yesA. A. Ruiz, S. Hosseinzadegan, J. Kvarnstrand, K. Arvidsson and A. A. Glazunov, "Total Radiated Power Measurements of a mmWave Phased Array in a Reverberation Chamber," 2023 IEEE ISAP, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2023, pp. 1-2
This paper explores the use of reverberation chambers for TRP measurements of beamformed radiation by phased arrays at mmWave frequencies. First, the received power was verified by the one-sample K-S GoF test to follow the exponential probability distribution. Different numbers of samples and stirrers' positions were considered.

A new measure for evaluating shielding performance of an equipment enclosure at frequencies above 1 GHz [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The measure of shielding effectiveness (SE) and the related measurement techniques proposed by the current IEEE Standard 299 are only applicable for large screened enclosures having dimensions more than 2 m.
