Measurement and Analysis of Influence of Different Stirrers on Performance of Reverberation Chamber

IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2023
Various stirrers have been developed for reverberation chamber (RC) to meet kinds of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test and Over-The-Air (OTA) test. We designed 3 types of stirrer paddles for 4 same dimension RCs.

Reverberating chamber electromagnetic field in presence of an unstirred component

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2000
A theoretical model for the electromagnetic field within a reverberating chamber in presence of an unstirred component is presented. Due to the stochastic nature of the electromagnetic field within the chamber, a statistical electromagnetic approach is developed and tested versus measurements.

Measuring the Absorption Cross Section of Welded Slots in a Reverberation Chamber

International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2023
Reverberation chambers (RCs) are usually spliced together using multiple steel plates. Slots at the joint of plates may lead to electromagnetic leakage, to reduce this leakage, two methods are commonly adopted which are fully welding slots and contacting

Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber for Electromagnetic Compatibility Measurements

IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2013
This paper introduces the basic concepts and implementation of a Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber (VIRC). This kind of chambers is used in electromagnetic compatibility testing, and offer some advantages compared to traditional chambers. An introduction, an overview of theoretical principles, a description of the VIRC recently built at the ...

On the phase statistics of the electromagnetic field in reverberating chambers

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2001
A theoretical model for the electromagnetic field phase statistics within a reverberating chamber is presented. The model is general since it is able to model a completely stirred field and an electromagnetic field in which an unstirred field component is present.

Investigating electromagnetic exposure of communication cables in reverberant chambers

IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2003
As distributed electronic systems become more complex, the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) behaviour of the communication cables becomes more significant. Hence a range of test methods must be developed that will provide an adequate measure of the cable's interference susceptibility. One such method is the 'mode stirred reverberation chamber method'

Acoustic and electromagnetic reverberation chambers: Similarities and differences

2016 Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC), 2016
Acoustic reverberation chambers predate electromagnetic (EM) reverberation chambers. EM reverberation chamber researchers occasionally make reference to acoustic equivalents when describing test methods and results. However, most EM reverberation chamber users are not familiar with acoustics and may not be aware of similarities and differences.
