Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber for Electromagnetic Compatibility Measurements

IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2013
This paper introduces the basic concepts and implementation of a Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber (VIRC). This kind of chambers is used in electromagnetic compatibility testing, and offer some advantages compared to traditional chambers. An introduction, an overview of theoretical principles, a description of the VIRC recently built at the ...

On the phase statistics of the electromagnetic field in reverberating chambers

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2001
A theoretical model for the electromagnetic field phase statistics within a reverberating chamber is presented. The model is general since it is able to model a completely stirred field and an electromagnetic field in which an unstirred field component is present.

Analysis of Electromagnetic Field Coupling to Airborne Cables with Varied Shielding Layer Termination Methods in a Reverberation Chamber

IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation
In this paper, the electromagnetic coupling to airborne cables under varied shielding layer (SL) termination methods in a reverberation chamber is investigated.

Investigating electromagnetic exposure of communication cables in reverberant chambers

IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2003
As distributed electronic systems become more complex, the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) behaviour of the communication cables becomes more significant. Hence a range of test methods must be developed that will provide an adequate measure of the cable's interference susceptibility. One such method is the 'mode stirred reverberation chamber method'

Acoustic and electromagnetic reverberation chambers: Similarities and differences

2016 Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC), 2016
Acoustic reverberation chambers predate electromagnetic (EM) reverberation chambers. EM reverberation chamber researchers occasionally make reference to acoustic equivalents when describing test methods and results. However, most EM reverberation chamber users are not familiar with acoustics and may not be aware of similarities and differences.

Validation of Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber using Computational Electromagnetics

2019 Joint International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Sapporo and Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC Sapporo/APEMC), 2019
Our study demonstrates a validation of the computational electromagnetics modeling and a simulation of a vibrating intrinsic reverberation chamber (VIRC). The VIRC generates a random electromagnetic environment by shaking the flexible conductive walls to vary the boundary conditions.

Full Wave Computation of the Electromagnetic Field in Chaotic Reverberation Chambers

2019 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2019
The geometry deformation of a rectangular shaped reverberation chamber (RC) improves the field mixing and the chaoticity within the RC, in addition to traditional stirring techniques. We noted how the position and number of hemispherical diffractors affect the RC, evaluating their typical key performance parameter such as the number of uncorrelated ...

Exploring the Effects of Time Constants on Short Pulse Testing in Electromagnetic Reverberation Chambers

International Conference on Embedded and Multimedia Computing
We have performed pulsed tests on a reference test setup inside two different reverberation chambers. One chamber has a time constant $\tau=1.5 \mu \mathrm{~s}$ while the other has $\tau=0.13 \mu s$.

On the use of electromagnetic reverberation chambers for expositure tests of cell tissue

2012 6th Asia-Pacific Conference on Environmental Electromagnetics (CEEM), 2012
Investigations of the reaction of biologic tissue to external electromagnetic fields is becoming more and more important in modern day signal environment with its eveqirowing number of electromagnetic emissions, both intended (i.e. cellphones, WLAN-routers, microwave transmission lines) and unintended (i.e.
