Determining the Effective Electromagnetic Parameters of Photonic Crystal by Phase Unwrapping and Denoising Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2019
The electromagnetic parameters of the dispersion material and metamaterial are vital in the engineering. The phase unwrapping method is proposed to deal with the phase ambiguity of the transmission and reflection method in electromagnetic (EM) parameters

Isospin violation in low-energy charged pion-kaon scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We evaluate the isospin breaking corrections to the scattering amplitude \pi^- K^+ -> \pi^- K^+ at threshold in the framework of chiral perturbation theory. This channel is of particular interest for the strong 2S-2P energy level shift in pion-kaon bound

Wavelength‐Dependent Differential Amplification of Raman Scattering by Chiral Gold Nanorods for Multiplexed Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Analysis of the Scattering Characteristics of Sea Surface with the Influence from Internal Wave

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2015
The internal wave travels beneath the sea surface and modulate the roughness of the sea surface through the wave-current interaction. This makes some dark and bright bands can be observed in the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images.

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Investigation of Polarization-Dependent Optical Force in Optical Tweezers using Generalized Lorenz-Mie Theory

open access: yes, 2015
In vectorial diffraction theory, tight focusing of a linearly polarized laser beam produces an anisotropic field distribution around the focal plane.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Shape derivatives of boundary integral operators in electromagnetic scattering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We develop the shape derivative analysis of solutions to the problem of scattering of time-harmonic electromagnetic waves by a bounded penetrable obstacle.

Multiband Switchable Microwave Absorbing Metamaterials Based on Reconfigurable Kirigami–Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable metamaterial featuring tunable microwave‐absorbing and load‐bearing performance is proposed. Stretchable kirigami and bistable origami configurations are integrated as actuating components, and the synergistic deformation mechanisms are systematically analyzed.
