Local magnetic measurements in magnetic circuits with highly nonuniform electromagnetic fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, local magnetic measurements are carried out in magnetic circuits with highly non uniform electromagnetic field patterns, including excitation winding and/or air gaps, as in the case of rotating electrical machines.

Nanosized Titanium Carbide MXene‐Supported Bimetallic Au@Ag Nanocubes as a Highly Efficient Catalyst for Nitroaromatics Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Using NaBH4 as a reductant at room temperature, nanosized Ti3C2 MXene‐supported Au@Ag nanocubes (MX/Au@Ag NCs) function as an efficient catalyst for the reduction of nitroaromatics. The optimal 50%‐MX/Au@Ag NCs demonstrate excellent catalytic efficiency in the conversion of nitroaromatics to their respective amine derivatives, with reduction rates of ...

Triphasic Inter‐Dimensional WS2/Magnetic Lithium Iron Oxide Nanocomposite for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates the electromagnetic interference shielding performance of a multiphasic nanocomposite consisting of granular magnetic ferrite (α‐LiFe5O8/α‐LiFeO2) and conductive WS2 nanoflakes. It establishes a clear correlation between the shielding performance and relative fractions of the phases with distinct morphologies/dimensionalities ...

Morphology vs. Specific Surface Area: Which Plays the Leading Role in Microwave Absorption?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The role of morphology and specific surface area on microwave absorbing characteristics is systematically evaluated and compared. The matrix effect on microwave absorbing performance is studied using polyacetylurea. Implanted carbon nanotubes by red phosphorus and in situ polymerization of polyindole promoted microwave absorption.

Photonic Crystal Enhanced Microscopy on a 2D Photonic Crystal Surface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
This work demonstrates the design, fabrication, and the first‐time test of a 2D photonic crystal surface for photonic resonator absorption microscopy. The designed surface uniformly enhances electromagnetic near fields, achieving > 100% improved detecting uniformity for surface‐captured AuNPs from a blocking biosensor assay aimed for detecting SARS‐CoV‐
