Unimoment Method for Electromagnetic Wave Scattering
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 1987A simple problem in 2-dimensional space is used as an example for the application of the unimoment method. The discussion includes fundamentals, mesh generation, loading of equations, sparse matrix inversion and boundary matching. The objective of this paper is to help uninitiated readers understand and apply this method.

Electromagnetic wave scattering in dusty plasmas
Physics of Fluids B: Plasma Physics, 1991The cross section for transition scattering of electromagnetic waves on charged dust particles in a plasma is calculated, extending the results of a previous paper [J. Plasma Phys. 42, 429 (1989)] where the case of longitudinal waves has been considered. For the case of nonlinear screening of the charged dust by the plasma particles (i.e., ‖eφ0/Te‖ ≫ 1,

Electromagnetic wave scattering from sea swells
Digest on Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2003A three-dimensional model for simulating scattering from sea swells has been developed. By dividing the ocean surface into facets of aperture antennas of appropriate size and shape, multipath scattering is accounted for subject to the illumination and radiation of the facets. Wave propagation with respect to the Earth curvature and shadowing due to the

Relativistic multiple scattering of electromagnetic waves
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1976A general, relativistically exact formulation of scattering of electromagnetic waves by two or more objects in relative, uniform motion is presented. Coupled and separated integral equations are obtained for far-field scattering amplitudes of bodies within a system in terms of known far-field scattering amplitudes of the isolated obstacles.

Inverse Scattering Problems for Electromagnetic Waves
1998Abstract : This project was concerned with the problem of determining the physical and geometric properties of an unknown inhomogeneity from a knowledge of its effect on a given time harmonic electromagnetic wave with particular concern to non-destructive testing and medical imaging.

Guided Wave Electromagnetic Ultrasonic Scattering Imaging
2019At present, there are few studies on the defect imaging using guided wave scattering method. Most of the defect detection based on guided wave scattering is limited to the location of the defects, and the defects studied are mostly artificial defects of standard contour shape. The researches on defect imaging utilized transmitted guided waves. However,

Physical Basics of Electromagnetic Wave Scattering
2013In all the foregoing chapters, we have tacitly assumed that the scalar Helmholtz and the vector wave equation are the partial differential equations underlying the scattering problems. In Sect. 7.2 we will provide the justification for this assumption for electromagnetic wave scattering.

High-frequency scattering of electromagnetic waves
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1957The assumption that the illuminated region and the penumbra of a body scatter independently at high frequencies is used to obtain scattering coefficients for perfectly reflecting convex bodies in plane electromagnetic and sound waves. The formulae involve only the scattering coefficients of the circular cylinder and the geometry of the shadow boundary.
