This work bridges classical and quantum polarimetry toward quantitative quantum photonic sensing of turbid environments. Theoretical and experimental investigations reveal how polarization‐entangled photonic states evolve in turbid media, uncovering robust trends in entanglement evolution and paving the way for advanced quantum sensing in biomedical ...

Efficient First‐Principles Inverse Design of Nanolasers
This article introduces a first‐principles inverse‐design framework for nanolasers that directly incorporates nonlinear lasing physics. By unifying steady‐state ab‐initio laser theory (SALT) with topology optimization, it reveals how spatial hole burning, gain saturation, and cavity‐emitter coupling shape laser performance, enabling efficient discovery

Germanium‐Based Mid‐Infrared Integrated Photonics
The mid‐infrared (mid‐IR) spectral range is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum in which most of the molecules have vibrational and rotational resonances. Photonics integration in this wavelength range have thus seen a burst of interest in the recent years, mainly driven by applications related with the detection of chemical and biological ...

Responsive Phase Gradient Metasurface for Laser Stealth and Dynamic Thermal Camouflage
The graphical abstract depicts a phase‐gradient metasurface enabling directional scattering and emissivity‐controlled thermal radiation. The engineered phase profile redistributes the reflected optical momentum, suppressing specular reflection and generating non‐specular scattering.

Birefringence in electromagnetically induced transparency
Optics Letters, 1997(4)He 2 (3)S(1) --> 2 (3)P transitions at 1083 nm were laser probed in the presence of radiation that coupled the 2 (3)P level with the 3 (3)S(1) level in a ladder scheme. The metastable helium that was used was produced in a rf discharge. Significant atomic birefringence was detected, in addition to complete electromagnetically induced transparency. A

Electromagnetically induced transparency
Journal of Modern Optics, 1998Abstract The subject of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is reviewed in this paper. Emphasis is placed on the experimental work reported in this field since 1990. Theoretical work is also covered, although it is not intended to review all the very numerous recent theoretical treatments on this topic.

Electromagnetically Induced Transparency: Propagation Dynamics
Physical Review Letters, 1995We describe the temporal and spatial dynamics of propagating electromagnetically induced transparency pulses in an optically thick medium. Results include pulse velocities as slow as $c/165$ with 55% transmission, strong-probe-field effects, and the observation of near diffraction-limited transmitted beam quality.
