Electronic Markets and Electronic Hierarchies [PDF]
Abstract The innovations in information technologies of the past two decades have radically reduced the time and cost of processing and communicating information. These reductions have in turn brought many changes in the ways that tasks are accomplished in firms.

Electron–electron and electron–hole pairing in graphene structures [PDF]
The superconducting pairing of electrons in doped graphene owing to in-plane and out-of-plane phonons is considered. It is shown that the structure of the order parameter in the valley space substantially affects conditions of the pairing. Electron–hole pairing in a graphene bilayer in the strong coupling regime is also considered.

Low secondary electron yield engineered surface for electron cloud mitigation [PDF]
Secondary electron yield (SEY or δ) limits the performance of a number of devices. Particularly, in high-energy charged particle accelerators, the beam-induced electron multipacting is one of the main sources of electron cloud (e-cloud) build up on the ...

High-throughput high-resolution cryo-electron crystallography [PDF]
High-resolution structures of membrane and soluble proteins can be obtained by cryo-electron crystallography, given highly-ordered cryo-preparations of perfectly flat 2D crystals are available.

Correlated Electron Transport in Molecular Electronics [PDF]
Theoretical and experimental values to date for the resistances of single molecules commonly disagree by orders of magnitude. By reformulating the transport problem using boundary conditions suitable for correlated many-electron systems, we approach electron transport across molecules from a new standpoint.

Ultra-low electron temperatures in nanostructured samples [PDF]
Nanostructured samples, be it semiconducting or metallic ones, have received considerable experimental and theoretical attention due to the manifold of possibilities to investigate fundamental physics. Not only are they viable candidates for realizations

Optimizing electron backscatter diffraction of carbonate biominerals—resin type and carbon coating [PDF]
Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) is becoming a widely used technique to determine crystallographic orientation in biogenic carbonates. Despite this use, there is little information available on preparation for the analysis of biogenic carbonates ...

Transfer of tilted sample information in transmission electron microscopy [PDF]
When a transmission electron microscope is used in imaging mode, information carried by the sample function is transformed by the optics of the instrument during the imaging process.
