CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.

By utilizing time-resolved Kerr rotation techniques, we have investigated the spin dynamics of a high-mobility low density two-dimensional electron gas in a GaAs/Al0.35Ga0.65As heterostructure in the dependence on temperature from 1.5 to 30 K.

Gallium microalloying redirects interfacial reactions in low‐temperature Bi–Sn solders from Cu–Sn toward Cu–Ga intermetallic formation. The resulting Cu–Ga layer suppresses intermetallic growth during thermal aging, alters fracture pathways, and improves interfacial stability.

GRAPH2MAT: UNIVERSAL GRAPH TO MATRIX CONVERSION FOR ELECTRON DENSITY PREDICTION [PDF]
Electron density is a fundamental observable of an atomic system from which all ground state properties can be computed. As a prediction target for machine learning models, electron density is often represented on a dense real space grid, which is data ...

Study on Electron Density Profile in the Lower Ionosphere
The daytime N(h) profiles in the E and D regions are obtained for summer, spring and fall, and winter, based on data available from rocket experiment. The profiles cover the periods of low, medium and high solar activity. The Nmax in the normal E region obtained by routine ionosonde observation is studied to compare with the rocket data and to obtain ...

Morphology, Transport, and Dynamics of Protein Adsorption in Open‐Cell Metal Foam
Stainless steel (SS) open‐cell foams are shown to adsorb more protein per unit area than previously reported 316L SS and chromium oxide surfaces under static and flow conditions. An integrated approach combining 3D pore imaging, flow simulation, and protein adsorption experiments characterizes the foam’s performance.

Feasibility and Limitations of the Advanced Replica Process for Bioactive Glasses
Periodic 3D‐printed Kelvin‐cell templates enable a controlled advanced replica process for fabricating highly porous glass lattices. Across P45K9, 45S5, and 13–93, material‐dependent differences in coating, burnout, and shrinkage lead to distinct strut morphologies, while comparable final porosities of 83%–88% are retained.

Modeling the Effect of Ionospheric Electron Density Profile and Its Inhomogeneities on Sprite Halos
Sprite halos are diffuse glow discharges in the D-region ionosphere triggered by the quasi-electrostatic (QES) fields of lightning discharges. A three-dimensional (3D) QES model is adopted to investigate the effect of ionospheric electron density on ...

Investigating the Low‐Temperature Phase Stability of the Binary Ta–W System
Atomistic simulations show that the binary Ta–W system forms ordered intermetallic phases, B2‐TaW and D03‐TaW3, as 0 K ground states. Configurational entropy, however, lowers the free energy of the disordered bcc solid solution, which becomes the stable phase above about 400 K.
