Impact of Surface States and Aluminum Mole Fraction on Surface Potential and 2DEG in AlGaN/GaN HEMTs
The presence of surface traps is an important phenomenon in AlGaN/GaN HEMT. The electrical and physical properties of these surface traps have been analyzed through the study of 2DEG electron concentration along with the variation of aluminum percentage ...

Solvent as Electron Donor: Donor/Acceptor Electronic Coupling Is a Dynamical Variable
We combine analysis of measurements by femtosecond optical spectroscopy, computer simulations, and the generalized Mulliken−Hush (GMH) theory in the study of electron-transfer reactions and electro...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Electron Transfer in Porphyrin Complexes in Different Solvents
The electron transfer in different solvents is investigated for systems consisting of donor, bridge and acceptor. It is assumed that vibrational relaxation is much faster than the electron transfer.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Respiration and growth of Paracoccus denitrificans R-1 with nitrous oxide as an electron acceptor
In the nitrogen biogeochemical cycle, the reduction of nitrous oxide (N2O) to N2 by N2O reductase, which is encoded by nosZ gene, is the only biological pathway for N2O consumption.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Electron tunnel rates in a donor-silicon single electron transistor hybrid
We investigate a hybrid structure consisting of $20\pm4$ implanted $^{31}$P atoms close to a gate-induced silicon single electron transistor (SiSET).

Single Electron Spin Decoherence by Nuclear Spin Bath: Linked Cluster Expansion Approach [PDF]
We develop a theoretical model for transverse dynamics of a single electron spin interacting with a nuclear spin bath. The approach allows a simple diagrammatic representation and analytical expressions of different nuclear spin excitation processes ...
