Electron Impact Ionization of Lithium

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards, 1982
The electron impact ionization cross section of the neutral lithium atom has been calculated in a distorted wave exchange approximation. The total cross section is in good agreement with available experimental data at incident electron energies above 10 eV. Analytic fits are provided for the 1s and 2s subshell partial cross sections.

Effect of impact ionization in scaled pHEMTs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The effect of impact ionization on pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistors is studied using Monte Carlo simulations when these devices are scaled into deep decanano dimensions.

Excitation of electronic states in tetrahydrofuran by electron impact [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2011
We report on differential and integral cross section measurements for the electron impact excitation of the three lowest lying Rydberg bands of electronic states in tetrahydrofuran. The energy range of the present experiments was 15–50 eV with the angular range of the differential cross section measurements being 15°–90°.

A suitable analytical formula for the K shell ionization cross section of carbon and potassium atoms by electron impact [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2013
: In this study an analytical expression proposed for k shell ionization cross section for two atomic elements C (Z=6) and K (Z=19) due to electron impact had been investigated.

Influence of Hot Pressing on the Microstructure of Multi-Layered Ti/Al Composites [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2021
Metal-intermetallic layered (MIL) composites attract considerable attention due to their remarkable structural and ballistic performance. This study aimed to develop a Ti/Al-based multilayered MIL material by adding ceramic powders, since they can ...

Electron impact ionization of small molecules at intermediate energies: the molecular R-matrix with pseudostates method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A procedure for the ab initio study of electron–molecule collisions at intermediate energies is presented in detail. The molecular R-matrix with pseudostates method is based on the inclusion of discretized continuum states in the close-coupling expansion.

Mass spectrometry of the phosphatidylcholines: fragmentation processes for dioleoyl and stearoyl-oleoyl glycerylphosphorylcholine

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1971
Mass spectra for the various phosphatidylcholines, together with accurate mass measurements on the more abundant fragment ions, have been described in a previous paper (Ref. 5).

Methane Cluster Fragmentation by Fast Electron Impact

open access: yesAtoms, 2023
We investigate the fragmentation of the CH4 cluster by fast electron impact at stagnation pressures from 0.5 bar to 16 bar. By measuring the time of flight spectrum (TOF), two types of ions, including (CH4)n−1CH5+ and (CH4)n−2(C2Hm)+, are observed.

Mass spectrometry of the phosphatidylcholines: dipalmitoyl, dioleoyl, and stearoyl-oleoyl glycerylphosphorylcholines

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1971
Mass spectra of the diacyl glycerylphosphorylcholines have been obtained using a direct insertion probe, with a source temperature of 250°C at an ionizing potential of 70 ev.
