Engineering a Meltable MOF to Tune Liquid Transition and Promote Coenzyme Regeneration

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Through a liquid–liquid transition process, a bimetallic glassy MOF is fabricated. It has exceptional glass‐forming properties, evenly distributed bimetallic ions, and a markedly higher visible‐light‐driven photogeneration efficiency of enzymatically active NADH.

A Thorough Characterization of the Tellurocyanate Anion

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
[K@crypt‐222][TeCN] was synthesized from KCN, Te, and crypt‐222 in acetone. We discuss fundamental properties of [TeCN]−: Single crystal X‐ray diffraction, nuclear magnetic resonance (13C, 15N, 125Te), vibrational spectroscopy, and negative ion photoelectron spectroscopy.

Controlling the Helicity and Handedness of Polyaromatics with Isobenzofuranophane

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Isobenzofuranophanes are introduced as helical synthons that enable late‐stage helicity induction and control in polyaromatics. This remote tethering approach allows precise control over the handedness and pitch of [5]helicenes via the tether length, inducing significant molecular distortion and affecting chiroptical properties.
