$$^1$$H, $$^2$$H and $$^3$$H nuclear magnetic dipole moment effects on the electron energy states

open access: closedPramana, 2021
The effect of nuclear magnetic dipole moment of hydrogen, deuterium and tritium isotopes on the electron atomic energy has been studied and analysed in this work. The electromagnetic Hamiltonian was rewritten in terms of the orbital angular momentum $$L_e$$

Magnetic Dipole Moment of the Electron in the Ladder Approximation

open access: closedPhysical Review D, 1972
In order to calculate the magnetic dipole moment of the electron in a nonperturbative manner, the vertex function of quantum electrodynamics is studied in the ladder approximation. The vertex function is written as the sum of form factors and coupled, linear integral equations are derived for these form factors.

One-Electron Spectrum of Doubly Ionized Lutetium (Lu iii) and Nuclear Magnetic Dipole Moment of ^175Lu

open access: closedJournal of the Optical Society of America, 1971
Thirteen new terms of the 4f14(1S0)nl doublet system of Lu2+ have been found, comprising the ns series (7 ≤ n ≤ 10), the nf series (5 ≤ n ≤ 9), and the 5g, 6d, 7d, and 7p terms. Previously, only the 5d, 6s, and 6p terms were known. The ns series was used to derive an ionization energy of 169049±10 cm−1. From the completely resolved hyperfine structure (

Effects of the finite size of a nucleus having a magnetic dipole moment on the bremsstrahlung of longitudinally polarized electrons

open access: closedSoviet Physics Journal, 1972
Expressions are obtained in the Born approximation for the differential cross section and circular polarization of the bremsstrahlung radiated by longitudinally polarized electrons in the field of a nucleus having a magnetic dipole moment. Account is taken of the rms radius and the fourth moment of the charge distribution and the magnetic moment of the

Theory of Anomalous Magnetic Dipole Moments of the Electron

2014
The anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the electron, the so-called electron \(g-2\), provides us with a high-precision test of quantum electrodynamics (QED), which is the relativistic and quantum-mechanical generalization of electromagnetism, and helps to determine the value of the fine structure constant \(\alpha \), one of the fundamental physical ...

Electron scattering in graphene by impurities with electric and magnetic dipole moments

Physica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2014
Abstract The elastic electron scattering by impurities with electric and magnetic dipoles in graphene is studied with the help of Born approximation. Both types of scatterers give the nonzero cross section of backscattering. The scattering by the impurities with electric dipoles is more efficient even comparing to the scattering by the nanomagnets ...
