Nuclear excitation in positron-K-electron annihilation
Physical Review C, 1987We have calculated the cross section for nuclear excitation during positron-K-electron annihilation. The calculations allow for the effect of the nuclear Coulomb field and for relativistic effects. The results are compared to earlier predictions which were derived using the Born approximation, and to renormalized Born approximation predictions.

Annihilation of Electron-Positron Pairs into Mesons
Physical Review D, 1971We estimate the cross section for ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{mesons}$ using (i) $\ensuremath{\rho}$ dominance of the electromagnetic current, (ii) known couplings of resonances to states involving the on-shell $\ensuremath{\rho}$ meson, and (iii) the assumption, for the purpose of obtaining numerical estimates, that the

Electron-positron annihilation in thermal QCD
Annals of Physics, 1990We present a two loop calculation of e+−e− annihilation into quarks and gluons at finite temperature in the framework of the real time formalism. We give a self-contained and pedagogical description of the calculation which relies on finite temperature cutting rules.

Electron-positron annihilation at high energies
Reports on Progress in Physics, 1989The experimental physics programme of PEP and PETRA is presented. The data from 11 independent experiments are collated according to subject matter and compared with theory. The author starts with a brief history of e+e- interactions and then goes on to give brief technical details of the two accelerators and the 11 experimental detectors.

Annihilation of Positrons and the Electron Spectrum of Metals
1971It is well known [1] that in metals positrons are able to become fully thermalized before being annihilated. This means that the momentum spectrum of the electron-positron pairs restored from the angular correlation function of the annihilation gamma quanta in fact constitutes the electron-momentum spectrum, to a certain extent deformed by the presence
