Monte Carlo Simulation of Flash Memory Elements’ Electrophysical Parameters

open access: yesПриборы и методы измерений, 2022
Operation of modern flash memory elements is based on electron transport processes in the channel of silicon MOSFETs with floating gate. The aim of this work was calculation of electron mobility and study of the influence of phonon and ionized impurity ...

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Role of electron-electron scattering on spin transport in single layer graphene

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
In this work, the effect of electron-electron scattering on spin transport in single layer graphene is studied using semi-classical Monte Carlo simulation. The D’yakonov-P’erel mechanism is considered for spin relaxation.

Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Electron Scattering from Sevoflurane

open access: yesAtoms
Various electron impact scattering cross sections of Sevoflurane are reported up to 5 keV. The elastic cross sections (differential and integral) are computed using the single-centre-expansion formalism within a molecular framework.

Polarized Electron-Electron Scattering at GeV Energies [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1975
The longitudinal polarization of the new Yale University-Stanford Linear Accelerator Center polarized-electron beam has been determined at laboratory energies between 6.47 and 19.40 GeV. Spin-dependent elastic electron-electron scattering (M\o{}ller scattering) has been found to be a practical technique for polarization measurements at high energies ...

Micropleated Nanofibrous Filters for High‐Efficiency Submicron Aerosol Filtration: A Comparative Study with Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Gas Mask Filters

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents micropleated filters manufactured by needleless electrospinning. Nanofibers are deposited onto uniaxially pre‐stretched substrates that contract upon release, forming densely packed micropleats. This architecture increases effective surface area without enlarging the filter size, achieving quality factors comparable to those of ...

Towards muon-electron scattering at NNLO

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
The recently proposed MUonE experiment at CERN aims at providing a novel determination of the leading order hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment through the study of elastic muon-electron scattering at relatively small momentum ...

Ab Initio Theory of Photoemission from Graphene

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Angle-resolved photoemission from monolayer and bilayer graphene is studied based on an ab initio one-step theory. The outgoing photoelectron is represented by the time-reversed low energy electron diffraction (LEED) state ΦLEED*, which is calculated ...
