Electron spin resonance spectroscopy in drug delivery

Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2009
The finding of non-viral carriers for the delivery and release of pharmaceutical and biological compounds to ill organs and tissues is one of the most widely investigated topic in medicinal and biological chemistry in the last decades. Prior to being used as drug vehicles in the living organisms, all of the new carriers are required to be fully ...

Electron spin resonance spectroscopy

1995
Although review papers exist pertaining to the use of electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy in polymer science, to detect transient radicals formed during the initiation and propagation steps of polymerization and in polymer degradation1 and in biochemistry2–3, a similar compilation of published papers on applications of ESR in dye chemistry has ...

Purification of superoxide dismutase from fungi and characterization of the reaction of the enzyme with catechols by electron spin resonance spectroscopy.

Canadian Journal of Biochemistry, 1973
Superoxide dismutase catalyzes the conversion of the single electron reduced species of molecular oxygen to hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. The widely distributed copper enzyme has been purified from two fungi. Identical chromatographic and electrophoretic

Single-chip detector for electron spin resonance spectroscopy.

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2008
We have realized an innovative integrated detector for electron spin resonance spectroscopy. The microsystem, consisting of an LC oscillator, a mixer, and a frequency division module, is integrated onto a single silicon chip using a conventional ...

Electron spin resonance spectroscopy studies on the free radical scavenging activity of wine anthocyanins and pyranoanthocyanins.

Molecular Nutrition & Food Research, 2005
Anthocyanins are a group of natural occurring pigments responsible for the red-blue color of grapes and many fruits and vegetables. Anthocyanins and derived pigments are of double interest, one technological, as they can be used as natural colorants, and

Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy (Esr)

1986
Electron spin resonance (esr) (also known as electron paramagnetic resonance, epr) has been successfully applied to biological problems since the late 1950s (Commoner et al., 1957). The method compares closely with nmr in being essentially nondestructive since the measuring wavelengths fall within the microwave portion of the spectrum, corresponding to

Gunn source for electron-spin-resonance spectroscopy

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1984
A Gunn diode oscillator stabilized by a transmission cavity is described; it has a center frequency of 9.4 GHz and a tuning range of about 1.2 GHz. The cavity provides a stabilizing factor of the order of 600 relative to the unstabilized oscillator.
