Towards large-area perovskite solar cells: the influence of compact and mesoporous TiO2 electron transport layers

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2018
Titanium dioxide (TiO _2 ) is a widely used electron transport material in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In order to reveal the influence of an additional mesoporous TiO _2 (mp-TiO _2 ) layer on fabricating large-area perovskite

Enhancement and Broadening of the Internal Electric Field of Hole-Transport-Layer-Free Perovskite Solar Cells by Quantum Dot Interface Modification

open access: yes
Hole-transport-layer-free perovskite solar cells have attracted strong interest due to their simple structure and low cost, but charge recombination is serious.

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

A new approach to the treatment of separatrix chaos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We review an approach to separatrix chaos that has allowed us to solve some significant problems by: (i) finding analytically the maximum width of the chaotic layer, a problem that lay unsolved for 40 years, and showing that the maximum may be much ...

Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Out-of-plane electron transport in finite layer MoS2

open access: yes, 2018
Ballistic electron emission microscopy (BEEM) has been used to study the processes affecting electron transport along the [0001] direction of finite layer MoS2 flakes deposited onto the surface of Au/Si(001) Schottky diodes. Prominent features present in
