Effect of Sodium Hypochlorite Concentration on Electronic Apex Locator Reliability. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2022
This ex vivo study aimed to measure the performance of an electronic apex locator (EAL) in the presence of sodium hypochlorite irrigants with different concentrations. Two EALs (Root ZX Mini and Locapex 6) were used to locate the apical foramen in 10 extracted single-rooted teeth in the presence of 0.5%, 2.5% and 5% sodium hypochlorite.

Effect of Various Electronic Devices on the Performance of Electronic Apex Locator. [PDF]

open access: yesIran Endod J, 2019
Apex locators are important devices that can be used to determine working length during root canal treatment. However, it is not known whether electronic devices with various wave length frequencies influence the accuracy of apex locators. The aim of this study was to determine whether a cordless phone set, MP4 player, FM radio, asymmetric digital ...

Comparison of tentative radiographic working length with and without grid versus electronic apex locator

open access: yesContemporary Clinical Dentistry, 2018
The apical termination of obturation is the most important factor influencing the success of root canal treatment (RCT). Working length (WL) is the key element in achieving this.
