Optimal Sink Node Placement in Large Scale Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Harris’ Hawk Optimization Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Large-scale wireless sensor network (LSWSN) is composed of a huge number of sensor nodes that are distributed in some region of interest (ROI), to sense and measure the environmental conditions like pressure, temperature, pollution levels, humidity, wind,

QUANTUM COMPUTATION WITH BALLISTIC ELECTRONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 2001
We describe a solid state implementation of a quantum computer using ballistic single electrons as flying qubits in 1D nanowires. We show how to implement all the steps required for universal quantum computation: preparation of the initial state, measurement of the final state and a universal set of quantum gates.

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Safety and Efficacy of Anticoagulation Therapy in Paediatric Patients With Solid Tumours or Lymphomas at Risk of Thrombocytopenia: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with solid tumours or lymphomas have an increased risk of thromboembolism (TE) and thrombocytopenia. Evidence‐based strategies for anticoagulation therapy (ACT) for patients with thrombocytopenia are limited. We examined the impact of thrombocytopenia on ACT administration and bleeding incidence in children with solid ...
