EVIDENCE ADMISIBILITY, ADMINISTRATION AND ASSESSMENT THROUGH THE ELECTRONIC RECORDINGS [PDF]

open access: yes
The main objective of the paper focuses on a current topic of a real interest, given the necessity of solving the civil and criminal actions filed in courts or the arbitrage courts through the evidentiary means, including the electronic ones, for the ...

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.

Blockchain as a model for granting trust in AI-mediated digital transactions

open access: yesFrontiers in Blockchain
Digital transaction law traditionally relies on centralized trust service providers. However, the emergence of blockchain and artificial intelligence introduces decentralized and autonomous transaction systems that challenge existing legal frameworks of ...

Formation of two-dimensional weak localization in conducting Langmuir-Blodgett films

open access: yes, 2000
We report the magnetotransport properties up to 7 T in the organic highly conducting Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films formed by a molecular association of the electroactive donor molecule bis(ethylendioxy)tetrathiafulvalene (BEDO-TTF) and stearic acid CH$_3 ...

Spinal Cord Infarction Versus Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis: Clinical, Radiological, and Functional Insights From a Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...

Mixed-Valence-Driven Heavy-Fermion Behavior and Superconductivity in KNi$_2$Se$_2$

open access: yes, 2012
Based on specific heat and magnetoresistance measurements, we report that a "heavy" electronic state exists below $T \approx$ 20 K in KNi$_2$Se$_2$, with an increased carrier mobility and enhanced effective electronic band mass, $m$* = 6$m_b$ to 18$m_b$.

Electronic cigarettes: not evidence-based cessation

open access: yesTranslational Lung Cancer Research, 2019
Despite extensive efforts, smoking remains a modern-day epidemic with profound health consequences. In 1984, Dr. C. Everett Koop, the Surgeon General of the US at that time, presented an important speech on the hazards of smoking. In his speech he stated “ The ultimate goal should be a smoke-free society by the year 2000 .” Unfortunately, we did not ...

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

Two-component electron fluid in underdoped high-$T_c$ cuprate superconductors

open access: yes, 2012
Evidence from NMR of a two-component spin system in cuprate high-$T_c$ superconductors is shown to be paralleled by similar evidence from the electronic entropy so that a two-component quasiparticle fluid is implicated. We propose that this two-component

FDG‐PET Associations With Disease Severity and Outcomes in NMDA‐Receptor IgG Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate (NMDA) receptor‐immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoimmune encephalitis (NMDAR‐IgG AE) demonstrate occipital lobe hypometabolism on baseline brain fluorodeoxyglucose‐positron emission tomography (bFDG‐PET).
