Rethinking admissibility of electronic evidence

International Journal of Law and Information Technology, 2016
The development of information technology has generated several legal debates. Most of these debates are concerned with substantive rights and obligations. However, the enforcement of these substantive rights and obligations, to a large extent, depends on the effectiveness of procedural laws. This article focuses on one of the most important procedural

The Conceptual Representation of the “Electronic Evidence” Domain

2018
The Conceptual representation of the "Electronic Evidence" domain presented in this chapter aims at building a common language to identifying, connecting and aligning all relevant concepts for the systematic and uniform application of new technologies in the collection, use and exchange of evidence. For setting the domain boundaries a literature review

Further evidence for electron-electron scattering in aluminum

Journal of Physics F: Metal Physics, 1979
Below 2K, the temperature dependent resistivity of Al is found to be dominated by a term of the form AT2, with a coefficient A which is practically independent of residual resistivity rho 0 for values of rho 0 differing by a factor of 160. This AT2 term is attributed to electron-electron scattering.

On the evidence for electron-electron scattering in the electrical resistivity of In

Solid State Communications, 1970
Abstract Experimental measurements of the electrical magnetoresistivity of high purity Indium at low temperatures have been performed and clearly indicate that: 1. (a) A generalized Kohler's rule can be used to describe all experiments. 2. (b) A reliable method is therefore obtained for extrapolating the zero magnetic field resistivity to ...

Evidence for unconventional electronic transport in quasicrystals

Physical Review Letters, 1993
The conductivity a of a series of AlCuFe and AlPdMn quasicrystals and approximant phases can be written σ(T)=σ 4K +δσ(T). The σ 4K term is very low, decreases with improvement of structural quality, and varies strongly with composition. δσ(T) is independent of the sample and increases anomalously with temperature up to 1000 K, with σ 1000K/σ4K ...

Reliability of electronic evidence

Proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Law, 2015
Much legal evidence is being generated by and stored in information systems. In this paper we look at evidence from an auditing point of view. Auditors rely on evidence of the party being audited, who may have a legitimate or illegitimate interest to manipulate it.

Electronic Records as Evidence

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2014
Electronic records are completely dependent upon their electronic records management systems (ERMS's) for their, existence, accessibility, and integrity. Therefore they, and their ERMS's are a very different technology than pre-electronic paper records and paper records systems.
