A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Structural, Electronic and Vibrational Properties of B24N24 Nanocapsules: Novel Anodes for Magnesium Batteries

open access: yesNanomaterials
We report on DFT-TDDFT studies of the structural, electronic and vibrational properties of B24N24 nanocapsules and the effect of encapsulation of homonuclear diatomic halogens (Cl2, Br2 and I2) and chalcogens (S2 and Se2) on the interaction of the B24N24

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

A comparative study for structural and electronic properties of single-crystal ScN

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2011
A comparative study by FP-LAPW calculations based on DFT within LDA, PBE-GGA, EVex-PWco-GGA, and EVex-GGA-LDAco schemes is introduced for the structural and electronic properties of ScN in RS, ZB, WZ, and CsCl phases. According to all approximations used

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Electronic and optical properties of FeS2 and CoS2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We have used the linear muffin-tin orbital method, without geometrical constraints on the electron density or potential, to calculate the electronic structure of FeS2 and CoS2.
