Residual flexibility in the topologically constrained multivalent complex between the GKAP scaffold and LC8 hub proteins

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 1, Page 76-95, January 2026.
The scaffold protein GKAP and the hub protein LC8 form a well‐defined hexameric complex, with the stoichiometry of 2 GKAP : 2 LC8 dimers. NMR and molecular dynamics calculations confirm that the LC8‐binding segment of GKAP is intrinsically disordered even in the complex form.

Monitoring Bridge Vibrations via Spaceborne SAR Micro‐Doppler

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The advent of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging has presented the possibility of remote monitoring of civil infrastructure on a large scale. Although well established for observing slow and long‐term phenomena, its application to vibration‐based structural health monitoring (SHM) remains relatively unexplored in the current literature.

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Resonance Characteristics of Novel Pumping Element Driven by Two Piezoelectric Bimorphs

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
This paper describes the vibration characteristics of a dual-bimorph piezoelectric pumping element under fluid–structure coupling. Unlike the single bimorph used in most previous studies, the proposed device comprises two piezoelectric bimorphs ...

Mussel‐Inspired Molecular Strategies for Fabricating Functional Materials With Underwater Adhesion and Self‐Healing Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 51, December 23, 2025.
This review systematically examines the nanomechanical mechanisms of mussel‐inspired molecular interactions, primarily investigated by direct force measurement techniques such as surface forces apparatus and atomic force microscopy. The macroscopic adhesive and self‐healing performances of mussel‐inspired functional materials, including coacervates ...

Mechanical Behavior of SLS Components in Relation to the Build Orientation During the Sintering Process as Measured by ESPI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) allows producing real parts from CAD data from materials with different characteristics compared to the final model, presenting dissimilar mechanical properties between the prototype and the product.

Overlapping Nanostacks Enable Direct Printing of Organic LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 24, December 22, 2025.
The capability of laser‐induced forward transfer (LIFT) for the additive fabrication of a complex thin‐film multilayer OLED device is demonstrated. The process, with precisely fabricated layer thicknesses in the nanometer range and high quality interfaces with low surface roughness, yielded fully functional OLEDs showing stable electroluminescence. The

Label‐Free Characterization of Lipid Interfaces Using Plasmonic Gold Nanorods as Optically Active Nanosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 34, December 2, 2025.
A label‐free plasmonic nanosensor platform is presented based on single gold nanorods for the nanometric characterization of lipid interfaces. By correlating optical scattering signals with membrane packing and refractive index, this approach enables the detection of gel‐to‐fluid transitions in lipid interfaces, offering a robust, high‐resolution ...

Glacier motion estimation using SAR offset-tracking procedures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Two image-to-image patch offset techniques for estimating feature motion between satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are discussed. Intensity tracking, based on patch intensity cross-correlation optimization, and coherence tracking, based on

Displacement and Vibration Measurements with Interferometers: Benchmark Configurations, Performance, and R&D Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
Self‐mixing interferometry is a powerful technique that brings together the exceptional sensitivity of phase measurements with the unequalled simplicity of the self‐mix configuration based on modulation of the cavity field induced by the return from the target. According to the selected measurand, displacement or vibration, and to the analog of digital
