Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

A concept of a power electronic converter for a BLDC motor drive system in aviation

open access: yesAviation, 2015
Realisation of a high-speed drive using a BLDC motor, especially that of low and medium power and with rotational speed of up to 40 000 rpm designed for use in aviation appliances, became possible due to rapid progress in electronic power control ...

FPGA implementation of online finite-set model based predictive control for power electronics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Recently there has been an increase in the use of model based predictive control (MBPC) for power-electronic converters. MBPC allows fast and accurate control of multiple controlled variables for hybrid systems such as a power electronic converter and ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Electronic Speed Controller Design for a Quadcopter

open access: yesBulletin of the Polytechnic Institute of Iași. Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronics Section
Abstract Mobility was, and it is one of the most important topics in our life. The main device that it is used for mobility is the motor, and nowadays more and more importance is granted to electric motors. For controlling such an electric motor, we need an Electronic Speed Controller (ESC).

Attosecond screening dynamics mediated by electron-localization

open access: yes, 2018
Transition metals with their densely confined and strongly coupled valence electrons are key constituents of many materials with unconventional properties, such as high-Tc superconductors, Mott insulators and transition-metal dichalcogenides.

Real‐World Investigation of Satralizumab in Patients With Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Satralizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin‐6 receptor, has demonstrated efficacy in clinical trials for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). However, its real‐world effectiveness and safety compared to conventional immunosuppressive therapies remain uncertain.

Asymmetric Cherenkov acoustic reverse in topological insulators

open access: yes, 2014
A general phenomenon of the Cherenkov radiation known in optics or acoustics of conventional materials is a formation of a forward cone of, respectively, photons or phonons emitted by a particle accelerated above the speed of light or sound in those ...

Changes in Immune‐Inflammation Status and Acute Ischemic Stroke Prognosis in Prospective Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Inflammation is a critical risk factor for poor outcomes in cerebral infarction. Prior studies focused primarily on baseline inflammation status, neglecting dynamic longitudinal changes. We try to investigate the association between immune‐inflammation status alterations and stroke prognosis, and evaluated three systemic biomarkers'
