ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE OF FeSi [PDF]
The full set of high-energy spectroscopy measurements including X-ray photoelectron valence band spectra and soft X-ray emission valence band spectra of both components of FeSi (Fe K_beta_5, Fe L_alpha, Si K_beta_1,3 and Si L_2,3) are performed and ...

Highly ordered laser imprinted plasmonic metasurfaces for polarization sensitive perfect absorption
We present polarization-sensitive gap surface plasmon metasurfaces fabricated with direct material processing using pulsed laser light, an alternative and versatile approach. In particular we imprint laser induced periodic surface structures on nanometer-

Degenerate minima in momentum space—valleys—provide an additional degree of freedom that can be used for information transport and storage. Notably, such minima naturally exist in the band structure of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs).

Miniaturised element frequency selective surface design for high power microwave applications
A third‐order miniaturised element frequency selective surface (MEFSS) for high‐power microwave (HPM) systems is proposed. The MEFSS design is characterised by the excellent capability to handle high‐power waves and the stable frequency response at large

Electronic structure of silicon [PDF]
It is shown that a purely local-pseudopotential calculation is able to accurately reproduce the major optical gaps and cyclotron masses. However, deviations from the experimental results become manifest in photoemission and x-ray charge-density results as we extend our calculations to the lower valence bands.
