Study on the Ozone Gas Sensing Properties of rf-Sputtered Al-Doped NiO Films

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Al-doped NiO (NiO:Al) has attracted the interest of researchers due to its excellent optical and electrical properties. In this work, NiO:Al films were deposited on glass substrates by the radio frequencies (rf) sputtering technique at room temperature ...

Combined nano and micro structuring for enhanced radiative cooling and efficiency of photovoltaic cells

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Outdoor devices comprising materials with mid-IR emissions at the atmospheric window (8–13 μm) achieve passive heat dissipation to outer space (~ − 270 °C), besides the atmosphere, being suitable for cooling applications.

Study on Cavitation, Warpage Deformation, and Moisture Diffusion of Sop-8 Devices during Molding Process

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
Plastic packaging has shown its advantages over ceramic packaging and metal packaging in lightweight, thin, and high-density electronic devices. In this paper, the reliability and moisture diffusion of Sop-8 (Small Out-Line Package-8) plastic packaging ...

Design and Optimization of a Micron-Scale Magnetoelectric Antenna Based on Acoustic Excitation

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
The development of antenna miniaturization technology is limited by the principle of electromagnetic radiation. In this paper, the structure size of the antenna is reduced by nearly two orders of magnitude by using Acoustic excitation instead of ...

Electronic Structure of GaAs [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1974
Using a nonlocal pseudopotential, including spin-orbit interactions, we have calculated a band structure for GaAs which is in excellent agreement with electroreflectance, wave-length-modulation, and photoemission experimental results. As in a calculation by Pandey and Phillips, an order of magnitude in accuracy has been gained over existing band ...

Electronic structure of MnSb [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 1985
Self-consistent, spin-polarized energy-band calculations have been performed for MnSb, for both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin alignments. For ferromagnetic MnSb we find a 3d5.5 configuration on the Mn atom, with a magnetic moment of 3.3μB on the Mn sites, and –0.06μB on the Sb sites. The charge transfer of Mn to Sb is very small.

Modulating electronic structure of metal-organic frameworks by introducing atomically dispersed Ru for efficient hydrogen evolution

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Developing high-performance electrocatalysts toward hydrogen evolution reaction is important for clean and sustainable hydrogen energy, yet still challenging. Herein, we report a single-atom strategy to construct excellent metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)

Practical challenges in data‐driven interpolation: Dealing with noise, enforcing stability, and computing realizations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView., 2023
Summary In this contribution, we propose a detailed study of interpolation‐based data‐driven methods that are of relevance in the model reduction and also in the systems and control communities. The data are given by samples of the transfer function of the underlying (unknown) model, that is, we analyze frequency‐response data.
