Abstract : The tasking to conduct an ADS-based EW test called for an airborne self-protection jammer (SPJ) as the system under test (SUT). The emphasis of the EW Test was on the performance of the ADS components and their contribution or impact to testing rather than on the performance of the SPJ pod itself.

Multiplexed synchronization: an electronic warfare countermeasure
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1991The authors present a method for transporting data through very noisy channels such as those encountered in electronic warfare. This method is based on two very important concepts. One of these is multiplexing via Boolean functions and the other is code combining. This technique spreads synchronization information throughout the message.

Resource allocation for networked electronic warfare
2011 - MILCOM 2011 Military Communications Conference, 2011In this work, we consider the challenge of designing an effective networked EW operation against a sophisticated adversary that uses different types of wireless triggers to detonate radio controlled improvised explosive devices. We assume that jamming power on a platform is limited, as a result the jammer can only selectively disrupt communications in ...

Electronic Warfare Theory and Strategy: Focusing on the Threat of North Korea’s Electronic Warfare
J-INSTITUTE, 2023Purpose: The importance of electronic warfare in modern warfare is increasing day by day. In particular, North Korea has a relative weakness of conventional weapons systems, and has focused on developing asymmetric weapons systems and electronic warfare as a way to overcome them.

Because radar systems find and make measurements of noncooperative targets, it motivates various countering actions. Motorists might want to deprive the highway patrolman of information about their speed to avoid a ticket. Certainly, nations want to deny other nations all kinds of information, particularly in times of tension or war. Electronic warfare

Electronic warfare (EW) receivers-radar warning receivers and jammer receiver processors-are an element of Electronic Support (ES). EW receivers provide situational awareness (SA) about radar systems and other emitters (e.g., radios, data links) in the radio frequency (RF) environment [Neri, 2006, Chapter 4; Schleher, 1999, Chapter 6].
