Electroencephalography and Electrooculography in Dogs
2022Electroencephalography (EEG) is an important examination method for the evaluation of functional central nervous system disorders. The purpose of this article is to review the use of EEG in dogs, explain the techniques and provide practical application in veterinary medicine.

Multiclass electrooculography using common spatial pattern
2012 35th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2012In this paper we apply common spatial pattern (CSP) to the classification of electrooculography (EOG) signals with four distinct classes, namely, eye blinks (EB), eye rotation clockwise (ERC), vertical eye movement (VEM) and horizontal eye movement (HEM). We first describe the CSP and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) algorithms with two classes.

Automated electrooculography — a microprocessor application example
Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 1980An Intel 8080 microprocessor is used to control the running, and also analyse the results of a clinical test, the electrooculogram. The processor provides a moving stimulus using a strip of thirty-two light emitting diodes. From electrodes attached medial and lateral to the eyes, the sinusoidal signals generated by the stimulated lateral eye movements ...

ELECTROOCULOGRAPHY IN THE GLAUCOMATOUS AMAUROTIC EYE
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1978EOG was performed on nine patients with one eye amaurotic due to advanced glaucoma. No difference in base values or Lp/Dt ratios was found between amaurotic eye and control eye.

Eyeglasses based electrooculography human-wheelchair interface
2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2009This paper describes an electrooculography (EOG) based human-wheelchair interface for wheelchair users. A pair of electrodes which measures the eye-gaze direction of users is desired as wheelchair manipulation commands. In addition to EOG based wheelchair manipulations, this paper also introduces ultrasonic arrays for detecting distances to actively ...

NORMAL VALUES IN CLINICAL ELECTROOCULOGRAPHY
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1975For the evaluation of normal EOG potential and time parameters a case series (142 eyes) is presented. An EOG technique aiming at the largest possible amplitude between the dark trough and the light peak is described. It is shown that the light‐induced response following a 20 min period of adaptation to a very low degree of illumination (about 1/10 lx ...

[Electrooculography findings in Friedreich's ataxia].
Revista de neurologia, 2005Friedreich's ataxia (FA) is the most frequent of the recessive hereditary ataxias. AIMS. Our aim was to analyse the findings from electrooculography studies in subjects with FA attended in our Service over a 30-year period.Between the years 1970 and 1999, 51 patients with FA diagnosed in the Neurology Service of our hospital were examined.

NORMAL VALUES IN CLINICAL ELECTROOCULOGRAPHY
Acta Ophthalmologica, 1977Three EOG's (DC amplified 30‐degree saccades, slightly modified Arden schedule) were recorded at weekly intervals from each of 16 normal human eyes (eight subjects). The light induced potential rise of the dark‐adapted eye, the Arden ratio and the Gliem ratio entered into the analysis of intra‐ and inter‐eye variation.

[The EO2-01 automated electrooculography system].
Meditsinskaia tekhnika, 1984The system EO2-01 is intended for diagnostic electrooculographic examinations of the constant retina potentials in humans and animals. The intensity and the duration of light stimuli are preset. The system performs measuring, processing and recording electrooculograms as well as their amplitude- and time-dependent parameters.
