Ni Single‐Atom Modulation of Ti‐O Covalency Boosts Ammonia Oxidation Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Ni single‐atom‐induced enhancement of Ti‐O covalency in Ni SAC@TiO2 generates abundant active sites and promotes selective NHx‐NHy mediated N2 evolution while suppressing poisonous NOx formation, achieving nearly doubled AOR activity with excellent durability.

Synthesis of Single-Crystalline Iron Oxide Magnetic Nanorings as Electrochemical Biosensor for Dopamine Detection

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2016
In this paper, uniform iron oxide magnetic nanorings (Fe3O4 NRs) were successfully synthesized through hydrothermal method. The electrochemical performance of Fe3O4 NRs/glassy carbon electrode (GCE) based biosensor for dopamine (DA) detection has been ...

Complex Electrooxidation of Formic Acid on Palladium

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2014
Herein, oscillatory formic acid (FA) electrooxidation on polycrystalline palladium is investigated and compared with the one on polycrystalline platinum; major differences between both are attributed to differences on the kinetics of sub-set chemical network as well as to preferential routes admitted on palladium surface. To presume the kinetic rate of

Bipolar Hydrogen Production from a Hybrid Alkaline‐Acidic Formaldehyde‐Proton Fuel Cell

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel hybrid alkaline‐acidic formaldehyde‐proton fuel cell (FPFC) was developed by coupling alkaline formaldehyde oxidation reaction (FOR) with acidic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). This design enables concurrent bipolar H2 production and electricity generation.

Antioxidative Properties of Silymarin, 7-aminoflavone, Neohesperidin Dihydrochalcone and Trihydroxyethylenorutin Studied by the Electrochemical Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2014
The electrooxidation of flavonoids has been investigated in non-aqueous solution at a platinum electrode. The process of oxidation and its kinetics has been investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV).

Nanoporous gold catalyst for direct ammonia borane fuel cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Nanoporous gold (NPG) electrodes were fabricated in film and wire array formats by selectively dealloying Ag from Au0.18Ag0.82. The ammonia borane (AB) oxidation reaction was studied by cyclic voltammetry at the NPG electrodes.

The Internal‐External Synergy of Self‐Reconstructed C/NiFeOOH/SeO42− for Efficient and Stable Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an internal‐external synergy strategy where a C@FeNi2Se4 core‐shell precursor reconstructes in to a C/FeNi2Se4/SeO42− architecture during OER. The inner C stabilizes active sites while the outer SeO42− layer repels Cl−, achieving efficient and stable seawater oxidation for over 150 h at 400 mA cm−2.

Oscillatory instabilities during the electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol on platinum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
It is described in this paper the experimental observation of oscillatory dynamics during the electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol on platinum. Besides the previously reported potential oscillations, current oscillations obtained under potentiostatic ...
