Differential Disc Electrophoresis of Serum Proteins.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1966
SummaryA polyacrylamide electro-phoretic procedure, in which a complex ionic mixture migrates, through both a large pore and a small pore size gel on a single column is described. The procedure is simple, flexible and results in better separation and resolution of serum proteins.

Functional Characterization and Pathogenicity Classification of PRRT2 Splice Variants in PRRT2‐Related Disorders

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia (PKD) is the most common hereditary paroxysmal movement disorder. The PRRT2 gene is the first identified causative gene and accounts for the majority of PKD. In this study, we investigated the pathogenicity of PRRT2 variants in the splice regions. Methods Patients with clinically suspected PKD and no

COMPARISON OF SEED PROTEINS ELECTROPHORESIS OF EIGHT SPECIES OF THE GENUS SUAEDA (CHENOPODIACEAE) IN IRAN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1994
Seed proteins of eight species of the genus Suaeda (Chenopodiaceae) were compared by means of polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis. Different samples of the same species showed not less than 89% similarities, and geographical separation had no ...

A Different Perspective on the Solid Lubrication Performance of Black Phosphorous: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Researchers investigate black phosphorous (BP) as a standalone solid lubricant coating through ball‐on‐disc linear‐reciprocating sliding experiments in dry conditions. Testing on different metals shows BP doesn't universally reduce friction and wear. However, it achieves 33% friction reduction on rougher iron surfaces and 23% wear reduction on aluminum.

Bioorthogonal Engineering of Cellular Microenvironments Using Isonitrile Ligations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Highly selective chemistries are required for fabrication and post‐cross–linking modification of cell‐encapsulating hydrogels used in tissue engineering applications. Isonitrile ligation reactions represent a promising class of bioorthogonal chemistries for engineering hydrogel‐based cellular microenvironments. Isonitrile‐based hydrogels are stable and

Photothermal Hydrogel with Mn3O4 Nanoparticles Alleviates Intervertebral Disc Degeneration by Scavenging ROS and Regulating Extracellular Matrix Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The MPTT‐nanozyme‐hydrogel system (Mn3O4@ChS‐HA) provides a multifunctional therapeutic strategy for intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD), effectively targeting oxidative stress and enhancing AF repair by restoring extracellular matrix (ECM) and redox homeostasis.
