Deposition and transport of graphene oxide in saturated and unsaturated porous media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this work, sand and bubble column experiments were conducted to explore the deposition mechanisms of graphene oxide (GO) particles in porous media with various combinations of moisture content and ionic strength.

Effect of the Deposition Time on the Structural, 3D Vertical Growth, and Electrical Conductivity Properties of Electrodeposited Anatase–Rutile Nanostructured Thin Films

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
TiO2 time-dependent electrodeposited thin films were synthesized using an electrophoretic apparatus. The XRD analysis revealed that the films could exhibit a crystalline structure composed of ~81% anatase and ~6% rutile after 10 s of deposition, with ...

Phthalocyanine Nanoribbons Fabricated by Template-Free Electrophoretic Deposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
A simple method of constructing organic phthalocyanine nanoribbons by template-free electrophoretic deposition is provided. Copper phthalocyanine molecules in low protonation degree driven under electric field enable the intermolecular ordered assembling

Electrophoretic Protein Deposition as a Tool for In Situ Co-Crosslinking Enzyme Immobilization: An Electrochemical/Quartz Crystal Microbalance Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Electrophoretic deposition is a powerful tool for depositing materials onto a substrate by using an electric field; its application in biotechnological areas, namely, electrophoretic protein deposition (EPD), is the most promising for, e.g., fabricating ...

Deposition and transport of functionalized carbon nanotubes in water-saturated sand columns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Knowledge of the fate and transport of functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in porous media is crucial to understand their environmental impacts. In this study, laboratory column and modeling experiments were conducted to mechanistically compare the ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Effect of chitosan structure and deposition time on structural and mechanical properties of chitosan-hydroxyapatite tubular-shaped electrodeposits for biomedical applications

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2023
Chitosan-hydroxyapatite tubular-shaped hydrogel structures have been successfully obtained by electrophoretic deposition. The deposits show great potential in the regeneration of tubular organs and tissues, in particular peripheral nerve tissue ...
