Ionic–Bionic Interfaces: Advancing Iontronic Strategies for Bioelectronic Sensing and Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ionic–bionic interfaces for bioelectronics leverage ions as multifunctional mediators that combine mechanical compliance, ionic and electronic functionalities, and therapeutic effects. These systems offer real‐time biosignal transduction, effective wound dressing, responsive drug delivery, and seamless interaction between soft tissues and electronic ...

Reprogramming the Myocardial Infarction Conductive Microenvironment with Superconductive Ionic Patch for Cardiac Function Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A super‐conductive ionic patch reprograms the post‐infarction microenvironment by enabling stable ionic migration and electrical signal transmission within damaged myocardium. The patch rapidly adheres to cardiac tissue, enhances conduction velocity, suppresses excitation‐contraction decoupling, and promotes structural and functional cardiac repair in ...

High-power short-duration vs conventional radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation in patients over 80 years of age: A propensity-score matched cohort analysis

open access: yesHeart Rhythm O2
Background: Data on atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation using high-power short-duration (HPSD) ablation in patients over 80 years are lacking. Objective: This study aimed to compare the safety and efficacy of paroxysmal and persistent AF ablation using an ...

Multimodal Optical Imaging and Modulation with Simultaneous Electrophysiology Through Smart Dura in Non‐Human Primates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates multimodal integration in non‐human primates, combining large‐scale, high‐density electrophysiology using Smart Dura with optical techniques such as multiphoton imaging (MPI), photothrombotic lesioning, optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA), wide‐field intrinsic signal optical imaging (ISOI), and optogenetics.

Autophagy Activators Normalize Aberrant Tau Proteostasis and Rescue Synapses in Human Familial Alzheimer's Disease iPSC‐Derived Cortical Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new cerebrocortical organoid model using isogenic hiPSCs with familial Alzheimer's mutations recapitulates key AD features, including amyloid‐beta and phospho‐Tau aggregation, neuronal hyperexcitability, and synapse loss. Single‐cell RNA‐seq reveals aberrant pathways in excitatory and inhibitory neurons.

Optimized workflow for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation ablation using very high power short duration

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
Backgroundwide antral pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) is effective for treating paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF), although time-demanding. We investigated the impact of a standardized ablation protocol by using a bidirectional transeptal steerable ...
