Electropolymerization of Molecular Assemblies

Inorganic Chemistry, 1997
Electropolymerization of the ligand-bridged, ruthenium polypyridyl assemblies [(vbpy)2ClRu(pz)RuCl(vbpy)2](PF6)2 and [(bpy)2(CN)Ru(CN)Ru(vbpy)2(NC)Ru(CN)(bpy)2)](PF6)2 results in formation of elect...

Electropolymerization of Neutral Red

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2022
Hydrogen bonding conductive polymers have attracted attention as metal-free electrocatalysts for energy conversion (1)(2). Neutral red (NR), a pH indicator in the family of phenazine dyes, can be polymerized into poly-NR (PNR) just like aniline (ANI) does into poly-ANI (PANI). Due to the presence of hydrogen bonding N atom, PNR has been found to act

Phenol electropolymerization in acid medium

Makromolekulare Chemie. Macromolecular Symposia, 1987
AbstractAn overview is given of phenol electro‐polymerization in oxalic acid media, as a method of corrosion protection for Fe substrates. The work focuses on the electrical and/or chemical parameters of the system which mainly determine the growth and/or corrosion resistance of the organic‐inorganic films thus obtained.

Naphthobipyrrole: Versatile Synthesis and Electropolymerization

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
A facile synthetic route to a new polycyclic pyrrole derivative, 3,8-diethyl-1,10-dihydro-benzo[e]pyrrolo[3,2-g]indole (1), is reported. This annulated bipyrrole acts as a monomer for electropolymerization and forms an electrochromic conducting polymer (poly1) when electrooxidized at low potentials (0.4 V vs Ag/Ag(+)) in acetonitrile.

Metal‐containing Polymers via Electropolymerization

Advanced Materials, 2011
AbstractElectropolymerization represents a suitable and well‐established approach for the assembly of polymer structures, in particular with regard to the formation of thin, insoluble films. Utilization of monomers that are functionalized with metal complex units allows the combination of structural and functional benefits of polymers and metal ...
