3,4-methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) is a harmful and controlled synthetic cathinone used as a psychostimulant drug and as sport-enhancing substance. A sensor was developed for the direct analysis of MDPV by transducing its oxidation signal by means of ...

Electropolymerized Neutral Red as Redox Mediator for Yeast Fuel Cell
The electropolymerization of neutral red (NR) led to the formation of a redox active layer on Carbon Felt (CF) to mediate glucose oxidation at the anode of a microbial fuel cell (MFC) based on the use of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Electropolymerization without an electric power supply
AbstractElectrifying synthesis is now a common slogan among synthetic chemists. In addition to the conventional two- or three-electrode systems that use batch-type cells, recent progress in organic electrochemical processes has been significant, including microflow electrochemical reactors, Li-ion battery-like technology, and bipolar electrochemistry ...

Electrochromism of Electropolymerized Metallophthalocyanines
In this paper, metallophthalocyanines (MPcs; M = 2H+ (H2Pc); Ni2+ (NiPc) and Cu2+ (CuPc)) bearing electropolymerizable amino substituents were easily and controllably electropolymerized on the working electrodes as thin solid films and electrochromic properties of these films were studied in detail with the various electrochemical, in-situ ...

Thin Film Electrodeposition of Ir(III) Cyclometallated Complexes
Novel electropolymerizable Ir(III) cyclometallated complexes have been synthesized and characterized. In these complexes the cyclometallated ligands are either 2-phenylpyridine H(PhPy) or benzothiazole-triphenylamine H(BzTh-tpa), while the Ir(III ...

ELECTROPOLYMERIZATION OF HETEROARYLENE AZOMETHINES
Organic diodes were obtained using a thiophene and furan azomethines derivative polymer electrochemically synthesized in nonaqueous media. The polymers were deposited on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrates. The films obtained were physicochemically characterized by electron probe microanalysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

Electropolymerization of 2,3-diaminophenol
The optima conditions to electrosynthesize poly(2,3-diaminophenol) by electro-oxidation of the monomer were determined, and the electrodeposits obtained characterized by electrochemical methods, UV-vis, FTIR, conductivity and viscosity measurements. The influence of parameters such as electrolytical medium and electrochemical conditions on the electro ...

Electropolymerized Polythiophenes Bearing Pendant Nitroxide Radicals [PDF]
We report a facile way to synthesize polythiophenes carrying pendant 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-1-oxyl (TEMPO) radicals, here called PTATs, by electropolymerization in boron trifluoride diethyl etherate (BFEE). The spacing between the TEMPO radical and the polythiophene backbone is varied by an alkyl spacer (n = 2, 4, 6), and the electronic and ...
