Diffractive Electroproduction

open access: yes, 1999
In these lectures, a simple introduction to the phenomenon of diffraction in deep inelastic scattering and its theoretical description is given. While the main focus is on the diffractive structure function F_2^D, some issues in diffractive vector meson production are also discussed.

Electroproduction of hyperons

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1997
Abstract We present some estimates for the reaction ep → e ′ Σ + . At small scattering angles, the differential cross section is completely determined by the experimental data for the radiative decay Σ + → pγ . For kinematical values typical of the proposed parity experiment at MAMI, we find a suppression factor of about 5 · 10 −15 as ...

Generalized parton distributions from neutrino experiments: twist-three effects

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
We study the twist-3 corrections to the neutrino induced deeply virtual meson production due to the chiral odd transversity Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD).

Threshold Two-Pion Photo- and Electroproduction: More neutrals than expected

open access: yes, 1994
We present an exploratory study of two pion photo-- and electroproduction off the nucleon in the threshold region. To calculate the pertinent amplitudes, we make use of heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory.

Coherent π0 electroproduction

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1993
Abstract We analyze the coherent electroproduction of neutral pions in nuclei. We find that this process does not contribute to the longitudinal response function for spin saturated nuclei and the dependence of the cross section on the azimuthal pion angle is particularly simple and given by 1− ϵ cos 2 o π .

Chiral Odd GPDs

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
Nucleon spin structure, transversity and the tensor charge are of central importance to understanding the role of QCD in hadronic physics. A new approach to measuring orbital angular momenta of quarks in the proton via twist 3 GPDs is shown.

Transversity in exclusive electroproduction of pseudoscalar mesons

open access: yes, 2012
In this talk it is reported on an analysis of hard exclusive electroproduction of pseudoscalar mesons within the handbag approach. It is argued that recent measurements of pion electroproduction performed by HERMES and CLAS clearly indicate the occurence

Electroexcitation of nucleon resonances of the [70,1-] multiplet in a light-front relativistic quark model

open access: yes, 2017
We utilize a light-front relativistic quark model to predict the 3q core contribution to the electroexcitation of nucleon resonances of the [70,1-] multiplet on the proton and neutron at Q2 < 5GeV2.

Recent results on TMDs from the HERMES experiment

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Single-spin azimuthal asymmetries were extracted at HERMES in inclusive electroproduction of charged hadrons from transversely polarized protons. The asymmetries were studied as a function of the transverse hadron momentum PT relative to the beam ...
